3-fight option is cornerstone of the Kessler-Palle fall-out.

It was Dawson who called out Kessler. Not the other way around. IMO it's kinda lame to call out a smaller man without the intent of moving down slightly.

Yank television is not paramount here. This fight can make plenty of cash in Europe. Still I might suspect it would be shown as BAD or via tapedelay.

You are not familiar with the Miranda negotiations. Let me help you. There was 2 seperate negotiations.

First time Kessler pulled out because of reasons unknown (bad).

Second time around Kessler offered a fight now for the vacant WBA title. The fight should take place at Mirandas backyard in Florida. Miranda ditched Kessler opting to fight the Abrahammer instead.

If Palle was any good as promoter Kessler would already have fought Bute, and should be looking to fight the winner of Froch v Taylor later this year.

He wasnt interested in matching Kessler with Dawson AT 175. A catchweight fight was offered.

Palle stated that Kessler would only move up for Calzaghe or Hopkins.

So far Bute has stated several times that he's not ready for Kessler so that fight has been impossible so far. Perhaps if Bute is impressive against Zuniga he might reconsider.

So Palle was seriously interested in matching up the two at a catchweight despite the fact that he said Dawson was really a cruiserweight and despite the fact that he said there wasn't enough money in that fight? This makes sense to you?

Palle's comments was made to a danish newspaper and journalist who doesn't know sh!t about boxing. It was a short article and the quote was possibly even taken out of context. Regardless the comment was pretty stupid I'll give you that.

What I dont understand is Dawson's rejection. Why reject a catchweight fight when no title is on the line and he (by many fans) is considered a small LHW?

To me a catchweight fight would have made great sense given this is a high risk fight for both. Nobody would lose a title and valuable exposure would be gained.

Regarding the money it probably wouldnt have been a moneyspinner. Dawson is not that big a draw in the US.

That's the problem, there is no proof that Dawson ever rejected a fight with Kessler. There's not even any proof that an offer was made.

What can I say? The public never gets to see offersheets.

It was posted by Michael Marley and Dawson's camp didn't deny. That's really all the proof you need. If I remember correctly Dawsons manager has said that Dawson would not fight anybody at a catchweight following the alleged Kessler offer. I think that's as close as you can get.

We still dont know why he, after calling Kessler out, refused to go down in weight.

Michael Marley is not credible. There's no reason for Team Dawson to reply to his nonsense. A catchweight fight between these two makes zero sense. It wouldn't sell in the States and Kessler could make just as much money fighter lesser fighters in the SMW division. Dawson never called out Kessler and he never turned down a fight with Kessler at a catchweight. He was never even offered a fight at a catchweight. I'm tired of this Kessler nonsense on this website. Kessler would get smoked by Dawson. Both Kessler and his promoter know this.

Following an offer from team Dawson Palle turned down a fight at 175. It's not that difficult to understand is it?

Usually going to the court never really plays out well for the fighter, who ends up stuck with it and losing important time in his career. I hope it works out different and well for Kessler so the fans can watch his talent in the ring soon.

Well, if Haussler was the first fight of the three they have on Kessler, than Perdomo will be the second and there will be a third still pending which they should petition the court to set a deadline on for exercising or indicate a fair amount of money for a buyout, based on the last fights that Palle landed for Kessler.
