1. Wilder vs Charlie Zelenoff II This fight was one of Deontay's biggest challenges, Zelenoff showed that unlike many of the Bronze Bomber's previous opponents, he was not paid off by Al Haymon. Zelenoff, although not paid a dime for the bout, showed up game and showed a great chin getting up from shots many of Wilder's opponents would not. Also Charlie has gotten a lot of notoriety over the years and is becoming a household name. I wouldn't be surprised if Haymon signed him and he was the A-side in this bout. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lK22F4DGAL8 2. Wilder vs Dustin Nichols II So you probably saw this coming, if the Zelenoff rematch is on the table the Nichols rematch should be as well. Not only did Dustin last longer than Zelenoff, he showed he was able to make contact with Deontay's eggshell of a chin and put him down. Of course the ref didn't call it a knockdown because Deontay was the A-side, perhaps next time around Nichols will know this and be ready to spark Deontay out cold so there is no mistaking it for a "slip". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gUlfI5VlZuY 3. Wilder vs Danny Mardell Jr. Although many may not have heard of Danny Mardell, he was being seriously considered by Al Haymon's team as a potential match up for Wilder. However, once video of him on youtube surfaced Deontay's team said "No way" to the idea of this fight. Most agree with 100% certainty that if Deontay's chin got clipped with one of his shots he would be doing the "Zab judah". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aoUTxu6G3S0 I think all of these fights would be better for Deontay's resume if he won, and I think that he hasn't taken these challenges because his handlers fear for his glass mandible. :smoke
