I was so keen for this fight when it was scheduled!!

Shane would have definately won it though. was scheduled for end of May 2008. Shane was definately not as far over the hill as he is now and its well before he had his last hurrah in beating down Antonio Margarito.

Would have been a top fight though!!

 

Canelo, Gamboa Williams

 

Alvarez/ Rios/ Pavlik

 

I think Williams would be at a huge disadvantage in there with Canelo he is clearly past his best and a huge ****ing target.
Canelo being shorter will be an advantage due to his style, while Williams who throws 100+ shots per round is what will kill him in this fight, he almost does fight like an amateur.

Canelo will sit down on his shots stay on the inside and crack the **** out of Williams possibly stopping him badly.

Gamboa vs Rios good fight but Gamboa in his last fight showed that he has some serious flaws and that chin is there to be cracked I think its a entertaining fight for about 4 or 5 rounds, but the size and power and pressure of Rios pulls through for him late in the fight....... No more 50 no more SMS and no mariachi....

I think Pavlik had a very good chance but I am not so sure on that one either

 

Should of included Guerrero vs Maidana.

 

Gamboa over Rios? That's perplexing.

Canelo would have struggled with Williams work rate and durability but probably would have won a questionable decision.

Rios' durability and natural size advantage would have been decisive.

Pavlik and Williams would have had a FOTY candidate but The Ghost ultimately would have prevailed. PWill never belonged at middleweight, IMO

 

If Paul Williams wasn't past his prime then I would choose him over Canelo. I got Canelo winning a UD. Gamboa boxes Rios ears off UD. **** I don't know about the last one. I would probably go with Paul Williams thinking he would out work Pavlik.
