I remember the days when P4P fighters needed to do **** in the ring to be ranked in the top 10 let alone top 5.

Paul Williams needs to move up to 168. That is where all the big money fights for him are going to be at. Just not enough names that are willing to fight him at 154-160.

I agree, if he can win on May 8, then fight the winner of foreman/cotto he will be one step closer.

He is not big enough for 168 lbs. Williams has a small frame freakish arms that's why he has to eat buffalo wings and burgers to get to 160 lbs. He should stay in the weight classes he is in and just keep on winning.

no way cotto would ever be put in with him...cotto is 5 foot 7 and on the down slide williams is 6 foot 1 and on the upside
williams is a huge guy for that weight, cotto is blown up and will get crushed at 154

How the **** can Ward be be in the top 20 P4P after only ONE win against an opponant we have heard of who isnt even in that same top 20??

Anyway its about paul williams was considered an elite fighter! Of course he is! Hes whooped anybody who would fight him from 147 to 160! I do think however he needs to stop going up and down like a yo yo from 154- 160. We can now assume that he can no longer do 147. But i think he ought to choose 154 and stay there. 160 offers nothing anyway

He outboxed Martinez who beat the **** of out Pavlik. He might not be a master boxer but he's not even 30 years old so he has time to develop the fundamentals he lacks. Overall he has amazing stamina, volume and timing, which make up for his lack of fundamentals.

Also he has very good technical skills when he does decide to use them. He has a good jab, he does move his head, he can go for the KO. I don't think Cotto, Martinez, Cintron or Pavlik can beat him.

He should break the P4P list if he beats Cintron in my opinion. He already is a multiple weight champion and he's beaten every fighter hes faced.

If Floyd can get to 154 of course Williams can get t 168. They have the same body type only Williams is much taller. Williams is 6ft2, he can go all the way up to heavyweight if he really wanted to, I just don't recommend he go above 160 right now because the talent pool at 168 is too much for him.

I think when hes in his 30s he will move all the way up to light heavyweight. Hopkins started out a tall guy and wasn't even as tall as Williams and he moved up to light heavyweight.

If Williams can take a punch and if he improves his fundamentals I think he could win a title at 168 against somebody like Froch. He has to stay away from Abraham, Dirrell and Ward because a master boxer or a puncher will destroy him but I do see him being able to beat Froch or maybe a guy like Bute, Miranda, etc.

Damn...Here is a fighter that was the Mandatory for Margarito, but Margarito didn't want to fight him, so Williams "people" threatened a lawsuit just to get that fight. Lost to Quintana, didn't cry foul or robbery, just handled his business in the rematch. When NO-ONE at 147lbs would fight him, he moved up in weight "TRYING" to secure Big Fights. Fought Winky Wright and Shut-him out. Schedule a fight with the "SO-CALLED" Top-Dawg at Middleweight Kelly Pavlik:lol:. And after several postponements, then an eventual cancelation, what does Williams do? Makes a fight with the TOP Fighter at 154lbs Sergio Martinez, while Pavlik...wait for it, wait for it...Schedules a fight with a 6th place finisher from the reality show "The Contender" (Miguel Espino) and it had the NERVE to be a PPV fight!!!

Now after ALL that, what does Williams do? Make a fight with former Belt Holder Kermit Cintron. HE'S GOT MY RESPECT!!!

anyone thats a real fan of boxing...cannot say anything bad about williams...if they do, they are just haters.... all he does is want to fight the best...and that was from 147-160 and still couldnt get any big ones since margo.... after he destroys cintron...hopefully he gets sergio again...cause he aint scared either :good
