If you could recommend 3 fights to somebody just getting in to boxing, to really make an impression on them what would they be. Here are mine. Corrales v Castillo, Leonard v Hagler and Taylor v Chavez. Plenty of exitement and plenty of contraversy to leave them wanting more.
My casual boxing fan friends loved fights like Corrales-Castillo 1, Cotto-Torres, Gatti-Ward 1, Margarito-Cotto. I wonder though if you show fights that are TOO good, they might have unrealistic expectations of fights. It's not often you're gonna get fights in which a guy rallies from two KDs in one round to stop the guy later in the round.
Any of these: Morales/Barrera trilogy Gatti/Ward trilogy Vazquez/Marquez trilogy or Corrales/Castillo Hagler/Hearns Any prime tyson fight
If they're in love the sport then Ali-Frazier 1, Marciano-Walcott 1, JMM-Pac 1. All the ones they can watch. Sorry bad pun.
