The Heavyweight division has been suffering lately and is in need of repair. Wlad hasnt had a tough fight in 2 years and after Peters performance against Mccline it doesnt seem like theres any real threat out there right now. Here are couple guys IMO opinion that could possibly beat Wlad.

I feel Valuev has a chance, his hieght may confuse Wlad into changing his fight plan in the ring Valuev also has an iron chin that could take alot of punishment from Wlad, he also might be the only fighter Physically strongest Wlad has ever faced in the ring.

Chagaev is a great fighter who fought a great strategical battle in the ring against Valuev this past april, he could take a good punch and give one as well. He has above average boxing abilities with impressive head movement. If he fights Wlad at angles and hits him with some sharp hooks it could be all over for Wlad.

Mccall is my wild card pic, he has granite chin that would even make Zackman blush. He has pretty good boxing skills with a heavy right hand, that if landed could end the night quick. If Mccall is willing to eat leather to land his big shot hes got a chance, it is possible we could see a replay of what he did to Lewis in 94.

Who 3 guys you think have the best chance of beating Wlad, or at least is going to give him a competitive fight?

I dont know about Harrison, his chin couldnt take too much of Wlads power punches.

    Samuel Peter
    Ruslan Chagaev
    Sultan Ibragimov (or) Vladimir Virchis

I think those are the 3 who have the best chance, although I would definitely favor Wladimir to beat (and stop) all three of them.

In a year or two, Povetkin may be up there as well.

I admire your loyalty to US heavyweights, but Chapman, Mollo, and Mesi would be destroyed.

Of those, i would give Chagaev the best chance but i wouldn't favor him.

McCall is too old to even be competitive with Wlad. I saw one of his recent fights and he looked aweful. Valuev didn't impress either against a fairly easy opponent (Bergeron). I think Wlad will find home with that right hand over and over and over.

Yes, if they were armed with wooden clubs and fighting him at the same time.

I dont favor any of the 3 I chose, I just think they have some of the tools possible to give Wlad trouble.

    The three who would stand the best chance, would obviuosly be;

Chagaev: Great boxer who's aggression and repeated attempts to get inside would make him Wlad's best test.

Valuev: due to his immense size and chin, as well as how taxing it must be on a fihgter's stamina to fight him. Valuev's 320 pounds leaning on you must make even the best conditioned fighters feel spent.

Those two would probably be his only real competitive tests...........all others are all beaten in dramtic fashion.

At least you agree with 2 of my picks, I think Valuev could upset him. He is pretty hard to hurt in the ring, and his size alone could be a difficult task alone for Wlad to get past.
