    My first post and I can only take so much of this ridiculousness. Cotto was killing Margarito up until the point the doctor stopped the fight. Margarito was doing nothing that hurt Cotto and nothing to suggest he was going to do anything the last three rounds, especially with one eye. I am stunned so many tools here think otherwise and believe Margarito has a legit beef.

    Margarito got his ass kicked. He wasn't going to win in 12, 15, 20 or 100 rounds. I can only assume half of the cocaine in Peru has been sniffed by some posters in this room to have convinced themselves of the sheer absurdity of posts like the above one.

    There was no controversy in Mayweather/Ortiz or Cotto/Marg. Ortiz got his comeuppance and Margarito got outboxed and the guy might end up blind as a result. The only fight with controversy was JMM/Pacquiao because JMM beat that ass.

    you know what i mean, fool....many cried foul and cheap shot after the vic vs may fight, and now....many are crying foul because it was stopped too early.....but what do you epect when the whole world wants you to lose thanks to the media for painting him as the "villain"

    BAD stoppage IMO, the best rounds for Margo were ahead, not like he was out on his feet. he was being hurt at all. look at Wolak Rodriguez 1.....

    No one is crying foul except Mexicans. I wanted Margarito to win but he was in a no win situation. As much as I would like to believe otherwise, Cotto was not slowing down. This was not a carbon copy of their first fight. Cotto would have cruised through the final three rounds. Margarito is not the same fighter he was 3 years ago and he wasn't going to stop Cotto the way things were going. The only reason I would have let the fight go on was so that Margarito could have had the satisfaction of finishing the fight.

    That was a total disgrace. The scorecards were the opposite of the way the fight played out.

    the fact of the matter is this:
    the only reason the fight was stopped was because of what manny pacquiao did to margarito's eye.

    the fight with erik morales vs maidana did not get stopped even though morales fought practically the whole fight with just one eye....

    all props to cotto for boxing really nicely......but for people to think that COTTO stopped margarito is bull****.

    the doctors stopped margarito. and if it wouldn't have been for pacquiao, margarito would have had BOTH eyes on cotto and would have been strong for the last 3 rounds just like their previous fight.

    Cotto did what he had to do, but cotto didn't stop margarito.

    Exactly, Cotto's fists had absolutely nothing to do with the fight being stopped.

    If only the doctor had not stopped the fight Margo was about to KO cotto . . . The hell with it, Margo was the one that really won the fight! Lets all celebrate Marge rat's great triumph . . . .:freddy:party:mj:cheers:mj:party:freddy:bush

    Cotto won every round? What fight did you see? I watched it in Spanish, which I can't speak and all I saw was Cotto running.
