Hari looked done after the 1st round. Don't think he even trained for this fight. Ghita is a ****ing monster.
Something was definitely up with Badr, looked alot softer physically than he did in the Saki fight. Lucky that he wasn't in there with Ghita.
vic & boran, did you get to see the k-1 fights? here are the vids: This content is protected Badr Hari vs Anderson Braddock Silva Cro Cop vs Jorge Loren Daniel Ghita vs Wendel Roche Rico Verhoeven vs Sergei Lascenko This content is protected Arthur Kyshenko vs Su Hwan Lee Andy Souwer vs Abraham Roqueni Murthel Groenhart vs Harut Grigorian Yuji Nashiro vs Reece McAllister Yasuhiro Kido vs Xu Yan Mike Zambidis vs Chahid Chris Ngimbi vs Longern Superpro Gago Drago vs Andy Ristie http://fightnext.com/forum/showthread.php?27-K-1-Rising-K-1-MAX-Final-16-VIDEOS
Is it just me or did anyone else feel a bit short changed by the K1 Rising bash? Name one good fight out of all 12 fights?? :think Not easy to do. The only two fighters that I thought looked solid were Kyshenko and Zambidis. The Thai, Longern looked quality but was lost at the weight should have been at least a couple down. Riste and McAllister both look to be good prospects for the future. The rest of the guys were a mix of washed up fighters and low grade guys. Couldn’t really tell with Andy, he didn’t look great but maybe he just had an off night. I realise K1 has lost some big names to other promotional groups but the matchmaking was awful. Wasn’t impressed, but did over all enjoy the night just felt a bit short changed. Mike Zambidis vs. Chahid Oulad El Hadj Mike dominated, I enjoyed the fight. Andy Souwer vs. Abraham Roqueni Andy was lucky to win and didn’t look good, has he had a few too many wars? Artur Kyshenko vs. Su Hwan Lee Kryshenko looked good and solid, enjoyed this. Xu Yan vs. Yasuhiro Kido What a load of shite. Gago Drago vs. Andy Ristie Riste looks a prospect but has got to develop a mixed arsenal. For me he kept choosing the wrong weapon at the wrong time. Drago looked washed up. Yuji Nashiro vs. Reece McAllister Reece looks a prospect similar comments to Riste. Harut Grigorian vs. Murthel Groenhart Murthel seems to lack any real skill, just pure aggression won that fight. A limited fighter. Longern Superpro Samui vs. Chris Ngimbi Ngimbi did well but isn’t any kind of great fighter. He was fighting a Thai with 2 division’s weight difference who’s basically a retired fighter. Badr Hari vs. Anderson “Braddock” Silva What a crap fight. Silva did well against a much bigger, experienced and powerful fighter. Hari looked **** out of shape, loading up too much he looked clumsy and barely threw a kick. He should forget boxing he ain’t gonna make an impact there. He should get back in shape and kick Ghita’s arse. Mirko Cro Cop vs. Loren Javier Jorge Cro Cop looked flabby and out of shape fighting a low grade fighter. Daniel Ghita vs. Wendell Roche Ghita looks hard to beat, unless Hari can sort himself out. Props to Wendell. Rico Verhoeven vs. Sergei Lascenko I enjoyed this fight as both guys went for it and were matched well, but both were out of shape.
good post. I still havent watched all the fights. Did some drinking last night and got distracted from watching.
Watched the Glory fights earlier, have to say I enjoyed them more than the K-1 fights, Petro-Pinca and Roosmalen-Dzhabar in particular. Surprised Sato and Khem are out so early in the GP (though I felt Yoshihiro deserved it). Schilt looked great, hard to picture anyone beating him right now. Both events were good but I liked the fights and production of the Glory GP more, K-1 felt too It's Showtime-y to me.
petrosyan had his usual dominant performance but was more aggressive than usual. I really like seeing that from petro. another loss for Pinca he is a good fighter though, time to take a "easy" opponent for him. He has fought 4 current champions in a row Khem(Wbc mauythai champ), Saenchai(lumpinee stadium), Ekpracha (lumpinee stadium), and now Petro(champion of K-1 max 2010???) with a controversial win over saenchai.
as far as Slamm 7: Only Pornsane from thailands side got a decison victory due to his attack with lowkicks. the Saiyok loss is whats most shocking. The loss came by way of doctors stoppage from a nasty cut khamal threw in the second round. Saiyok hadnt lost since 2007.
