Lost to a 24-year-old in USA National GG's when he was 18, by 1pt, that's his only loss. He went 50/50 with Zab Judah a few years ago in six rounds of sparring apparently, so he's obviously no mug. And McDonnell seemed to be claiming he floored Groves, according to his spies.

I've heard good things about him. I think there is a street fight of him on the net. I can't wait to start following his career.

We already had this on the Choi if I'm not wrong :yep

According to my Choi source, Eddie wants him to fight regularly.

Super middle I bet, wonder if they're trying to fast track him to the Groves/Degale level quickly? :think

He's a year younger than me, I am a complete and utter waste of space, fair play to the lad.

CHRIS EUBANK'S boy is turning pro with the son of the promoter who made his dad one of the most recognisable boxers on the planet.
Chris Jnr has his last amateur fight in Brighton tonight against Nathan DeCosta before he joins the paid ranks with Eddie Hearn.
He is hoping to follow in the footsteps of former world champion Chris Snr, one of the most eccentric boxers whose trademark was a spectacular vault over the ropes into the ring.
The 22-year-old has been pencilled in for his pro debut in September with the aim to fast-track him into double figures before getting a crack at a major domestic title.
Hearn admitted: "Young Chris is a chip off the old block.
"He has his dad's confidence and, dare I say it, the ability to become a world champion."
Young Chris will start in the middleweight ranks like his world title winning father did.
But he is expected to move up to super-middleweight where his dad won the WBO crown for the first time in 1991.
Hearn added: "If Chris Jnr did not have the talent then we wouldn't be in the slightest bit interested in signing him. But everyone around believes he can go to the very top like his father.
"He will be starting off as a middleweight but will almost certainly develop into a super-middle because of his natural size.
"My dad Barry took Chris Snr to the very top and they enjoyed a terrific 11 years together.
"I'm looking forward to the same kind of relationship with a young fighter who has the same arrogant strut as his dad.
"He even jumps over the ropes for his ring entrance."
Eubank Jnr has been training at one of the Hearn gyms and sparred with British and Commonwealth champ George Groves.
Hearn said: "We want to get Chris as much experience as soon as possible.
"And he'll be fighting often once he officially makes us his promoter."

So is this kid genuinely exciting? Is all the buzz based off the name or is he a legit talent?

I've only seen him getting dropped  I have no idea how much but I'm sure he has some Golden Gloves credentials, dunno whether it's regional or national though and can't be arsed to look, it's bedtime now.
