These videos are probably old hat to some of you. If not, I thought it would be fun to share on the eve of a potentially great MMA fight tonight between Griffin and Rampage.

So without further ado, here are three reasons to expand your knowledge as a martial artist.

    Reason #1: Breakfalls are useful.

Reason #2: Submissions, like diamonds, are forever.

Reason #3: Getting punched by a fist in the face hurts for real.

I love that last guy. He goes from "mowing" down 20 guys with chi, to getting his teeth punched out of his head in about 4 seconds.

I felt really bad, that guy is about 80 :(

More to the point, he actually thought what he was doing was effective and legit., or he wouldn't have risked the legitimacy of his dojo, lifes work and livlihood, right?

He's kind of like those auditions on America Idol where the people think they're really great singers and all the viewers are laughing at them...

I didnt feel that I just felt bad for him.

A lot of ppl think there is something to this transferal of Chi crap as long as both ppl believe in it.

It is not, however, well suited to MMA lol

Iv done Wing Chun since i was a kid. And to be honest iv never understood the "Chi" bit. The poor guy had NEVER been hit before. To actually believe that he could cause some harm to his opponent in the "real" world is just stupid.

Isn't the (Japanese) Kiai Master dealing with Ki?

Chi is from the Chinese. Prana from the Hindi.

Chi works. Ki doesn't. It's that simple.

That was meant as a tongue-in-cheek comment.

I just want to know what the Kiai Master's class said to him when he went back to the dojo the next day.

"Umm. . . .Master. . . There's something we have to tell you. You know all those times we were sparring and you were throwing us around without actually touching us? Well, umm . . .we were just trying to help you feel better about yourself."
