    IMO it can happen, but as soon as Haye starts to pull some **** like the last contract talks it might fall apart FOREVER. IMO Haye must be careful. Be straight and up front in the talks or its over and he will lose out on the biggest payday of his life

    We don't know this. Sorry, the only time Haye headlined a heavyweight event was his distrous fight against Barrett that only managed a paltry 6000 sold tickets in the 20,000 seat O2 arena. Previously, you argued that Wlad only sold out the Chaegaev fight because of Haye. Using that same logic, I could claim that Haye only did well with the telly ratings based on the fact that he was fighting Valuev. Also, the fight against Valuev was in an 8,000 seat "arena."

    haye will fight one of the klits in 2010 because of the money. He'll get past his mandatory, and then go after vitali imo. What a manager says to the press is hardly a solid basis on what to base a fight occurrence on. We see differing reports in the press relating to all manner of boxing issues. Furthermore, it could simply be a marketing ploy in order to demand what could potentially have been a lower purse split should he not have mentioned anything to the press.

    I would be surprised if a klit fight didnt offer something in the region of a 50%+ increase in the money he'd make above fighting anyone else (with the exception of hopkins, whom I doubt Haye will ever fight). And as you said, Haye is all about business, persuaded by money, and he'd be a fool to pursue anyone other than a klit (from a business pov).

    Besides, who the hell else would he fight after adamek!? heavyweight division can gtfo if haye doesnt shake it up!

    Let me just say, Will, that I hope it does happen. I think it should be a great fight(s) and that either boxer could win. So, if you have me pegged as a big Klit fan, then you're barking up the wrong tree. I'm not. I watch all three whenever I can. However, the prospects of this fight do not look good to me. That is what this post is about. So for the first time, I agree with you. :happy
