I agree. And I hope it does go down. But that was the point of the thread. Regrettably, I don't think that it will. I believe that Vitali will retire after another fight, two at the most. And possible fight with Wlad is at least a year and a half a way, that is if one of them doesn't lose in the interim...

If he only wants to fight the best why did he avoid the two best and in his own words take the easier fight?

Also will didnt you say Haye's last ten fights stacks up against anybody in boxing care to elaborate on how?

see thats what I dont get either

    remember this from Haye?

"British heavyweight boxer David Haye could fight both Klitschko brothers as part of a sensational two-for-one contract being thrashed out by lawyers. Speaking to Setanta Sports News Haye admitted that the two-for-one contract was “being talked about”. He said:

“To be number one in the world, to be the undisputed champion, I feel I’ve got to beat both of them anyway. That’s not a problem. I want to fight both of them. It’s down to the lawyers now.”

yet Haye backed out of BOTH... I just dont get it:nut

Yeah but if you bring that up to Haye fans they generally ( not all ) just try to insult you and refuse to listen or discuss the facts about events and much like haye revise or completely deny half of everything he has said or claimed he would do.

Yea, the article you quote was before Setanta basically went into financial meltdown and abandoned boxing. Haye's portion was to be paid out of Setanta's pocket. It was highly unlikely that he would make any money from the fights. Would you fight either Klitschko for free?

No he could of tried to save the fight said my funding ( which by the way was his idea ) fell through we need to renegotiate they managed to find a ton of money for chagaev when he stepped in, Instead Haye lied and at first wlad was willing to wait the original two to three weeks and after wlad said ok he changed to itll take six weeks, Knowing that Klit had a mandantory due in september and that it wasnt even feasable.

funny how they justify a lie and faking of a back injury. All Haye had to do was be honest with Wlad and they might have been able to work something out.

I dont think haye was confident and thats why he didnt want to fight for a small amount of money had wlad tried to help... Haye didnt think he would win thus getting another payday... he wanted to get the most he could before he lost IMO

And tells the truth. The truth cannot change. Haye pulls out and 61.000 people where at Schalke Stadium and it was such a great fight and a wonderful event!
