    Quality post as always. It's just that Mayweather has wasted his ATG talent on cherry picked fights instead of proving himself as having top 10 ATG talent.

    Defensive ability:

    Pernell Whitaker, Nicolino Locce, Willie Pep, Wilfred Benitez all have legit claims to be rated above Mayweather. Georgie Benton and Burley, too. Miguel Canto as well. SRL, Starling, Pedroza, and a few others are probably Money's equal in terms of defensive ability, and that's not a dis against Mayweather...Just a statement that there have been plenty of elusive fighters over the years.

    Now that I agree with...I'm not well known I'm the general anymore, but a lot of guys can vouch for the fact that I have always been sharply critical of Floyd, while remaining un baised regarding his talent.

    He is not the best but one of the best defensive fighters I have ever seen.

    He may just be the best punch picker/most accurate fighter I have seen a good catalog of...but given he can fight so defensive at times, he is not the most effective punch picker I have seen.

    When he was all business at 130, he was a very focused fighter..never had his eye off the ball and clearly is a very hard trainer..Though I don't know about his composure, he looked a bit ruffled against Castillo both times..No way he is better in this regard then say Monzon and many others.

    As for his ability to adjust... If he was that good should he have really needed to adjust against the mentioned fighters?
    Floyd adjusti.ng to Zab doesn't compare with SRR adjusti.ng to Gavilan...that being said, he is good at working a guy out..just maybe not top tier good.

    LOL if Floyd fights has beens than Pac fights beyond has beens since he's fought old DLH, old mosley and shot to **** Hatoon AFTER mayweather, not to mention Maragarito who hadn't won a fight in 3 years and old Marquez who Mayweather whupped with ease
