What the F was that??? Henderson won the first round without a doubt, and I think he won the second also. I can entertain an argument for the 2nd going to Franklin, but I don't think there is much basis for it. But a judge giving all 3 rounds to Franklin????? UFC has gone, or has always been corrupt and they WANTED Franklin on the Tuf show with Bisping :deal
Don't know why they want Franklin instead of Hendo. Have you seen his coments regarding British fighters? He'll make for a good rivalry with Bisping on the show. They both talk ****.
Well it's a little hard to call the decision corrupt when it went to the other fighter. Judges all score rounds differently. It just happens sometimes.
First of all if they were corrupt they would nedd at least 2 judges wouldn't they????, second the UFC doesn't supply the judges it's the commission in that fighting district. The UFC doesn't even supply the judges for the TUF series...that's why Dana even curses them for various decisions. And what would be the big deal having Franklin instead of Hendo, Franklin has already been there besides it would give more air time for Hendo...Franklin didn't even really want to do it again anyhow.
Cut it and print. Why would they want to fix the fight for Franklin and have somebody coaching when they clearly have no interest it? Sides if they were corrupt, they obviously failed because Hendo got the nod (even though I thought Franklin won). Sometimes people make mountains out of a molehill.
Because Franklin is a fan favorite, one of the most marketable and popular UFC fighters ever. Because Henderson is not camera friendly and is on his way out. Because one judge scored both the first and second for Franklin, and I don't see how anyone short of Franklins mommy could have done that. Oh UFC doesn't appoint the judges ok, well technically Don King never appointed a judge either so he's clean too right atsch Look I'm not launching a fed investigation, but what I proposed is not as far fetched as you boneheads are pretending. :deal And to answer one question above, no. You do not have to get to two judges. You just have to stack it in your favor a little bit, hope that one of the other judges scores for Franklin too, and know you already have one in your pocket. :deal
If the UFC appointed 1 judge for Franklin then why wouldnt they appoint one more so he could get the win ? It was a close fight and both the 1st 2 rounds where close. 30-27 isnt impossible the guy felt Franklin did just enough in all 3.
Ok fine. forget I accused them of corruption. But there is NO way Franklin won the first round. He was eating elbows and punches and it's not like he dominated the standup. The standup was more or less even, then he got taken down and GnPed a little. He lost the round.
Probablly but really in the end who cares ? A bad scorecard had no effect on this fight it was close it couldve went either way but it went Hendos way which is probablly best for the UFC. Now Hendo can **** Bisping after creating entertaining TV because you know Rich is to kind for any real smack talk. Then they can do Hendo-Silva II which im sure people would rather see then Silva-Franklin III.
I saw this fight actually after the Collazo/Berto fight so I was already fired up over the 116-111 scorecard against Collazo, then I saw this one and just started getting paranoid But I disagree with you, I don't wanna see Hendo waste his time with Bisping, he's got less time. I'd rather see franklin fight him, give the styles I think Franklin would beat him much worse anyway and let Hendo fight Silva next or someone else. Just my opinion :good
116-111 was pretty sick no way is that possible at all. You cant let Hendo go into Silva II as is theres no real demand for it even if he has won a couple of big fights his last 2 times out. You have him make himself into a bigger celeberity while just totally owning Bisping then the hype gets alot bigger to fight Silva agian although I cant imagine it being much different. Henderson just doesnt have what it takes to stand for long periods of time with Silva.
He's actually tailor made for Silva standing, but he had success when he took him down. I personally don't see him beating him. He gassed against Franklin. 5 rounds is a loooong time to avoid being stopped by Anderson Silva. And I don't see Hendo stopping him at all, in any way. :deal
well i can see how that happend i mean look they had the score card on sherdog and on sherdog they scored it a split desicion for franklin. on guy said rich won rounds 1 and 3 the other said 2 and 3 the other hendo 1 and 2 its all a matter of oppinion

i hate 2 say it (cuz i wanted rich 2 win) but it was 29-28 dan. he took rnds 1 and 2 even though 2 was close he won it with his wrestling. which sucks cuz effective striking does not get as much points as 1 take down and being held down
