This doesn't make him a MW, but it's clear that he should be fighting at 154, at least. Look at the 30 day weigh in pic and he doesn't appear to be bloated or carrying too much fat like a few on here have said. Brook is a professional and I expect him to turn up in the best shape of his life and give it his all. The fact that he is willing to even step in there shows he has more heart and cojones than anyone else in GGG's division....but he still gets stomped out.
I'm sure I mentioned that 5'10" used to be average for middleweights and 5'8" for welterweights before the Golovkin Brook fight was signed. I'm just surprised he's so heavy now. I assumed that he'd just stop cutting weight and be like 165. I didn't expect Brook to be eating Krispy Kreme donuts covered in lard and ballooning up to light heavyweight. Seriously, when they start talking about Stone this and that I have no idea what they mean. Can't they go to kilograms like everyone else? I'm not even asking them to use pounds like Americans. I just want them to use a weight of measurement that more people than them understand; so I don't break my brain every weigh in.
feeling both fighters where told to weigh heavier/ lighter than usual to try to divert attention from the fact it is seen as an unfair fight between a middleweight champ vs a welterweight champ.
Appearances can be deceptive though and pro boxers have different standards when it comes to being fat. The guy normally fights at 147 so he would have to lose nearly 30lbs. A significant portion of that would surely have to be fat. Apparently he's normally under 160lbs on the day of the fight.
Why are people calling Brook fat? Look at the damn pics. Anyone who Calls Brook fat after seeing the pics from today is blind.
I'm heavier than both and I still prefer to fight brook than ggg. Brook is a a big ww, he's a bully a strong man at 147. At 154 good slickster sat 160 beasts. And I want brook to win
Brook works with an established world class sports science department at Sheffield Hallam University, they'll have a programme to bring him in bang on weight and in tip top condition.
those ass holes that tried to claim this fight was unfair :nono I would like to catch them all in a net and beat the tar out of each and everyone that talked down about this fight :bbb I called Brook from the start :hat
