Im not sure about your chin theory due to brain fluid.

But the problem about dehydrating is it saps your stamina and energy.

Fatigue will effect your chin though.

Swelling of the brain (cerebral edema). Sometimes, when you're getting fluids again after being dehydrated, the body tries to pull too much water back into your cells. This can cause some cells to swell and rupture. The consequences are especially grave when brain cells are affected.

Chavez Jr probably has the most chance to get these complications

but the brain rehydrates the slowest of all bodyparts.

You get KO'd when the brain smashes too hard against the brainwall, when your brain is properly hydrated it helps absorb the shock (Besides being heavier which also helps absorbing shocks)

If you dehydrate yourself, your brain fluid will also decrease this will lead to a weaker chin and possibly extra brain damage.

It's why many of those MMA guys got such extremely glassy chins, they dehydrate like crazy

Tua used to drink water all the time for his brain while training.

(Some men like Chavez Jr have crazy chins even when they dehydrate, they're freaks who can get away with that ****. DON'T try to replicate them)

    This.

Where is the source of this weight? When during the day was it? It's very likely it's after a workout, the biggest giveaway is Mayweather not making weight against Marquez.

Every fighter can lose a bit of weight by dehydrating.

140 cotto is a great example of how weight-cutting can affect a fighters punch resistance.

hurt and on ***** street many times at 140.

never on ***** street at 147 or 154(margo/paq was more of a case of getting beat down and exhaustion).

arum mentioned this when people questioned cottos move to 147 and bob said that miguels punch-resistance and equilibrium was adveresley affected by the cut to 140.

  5. You don't have to be a ******* to ask that question. It's a legit question. But I already know the answer.

which is a bad thing, it cut Ricky Hatton career short along with other fighter that follow this insane work flow. If floyd were to blow up to 180 he would damage his body and more likely decrease his performance .

Don't the *****s say he walks around at 150lbs? So being 2lbs lighter 24 days before a fight is a big accomplishment for a gym rat? For ****s sakes he couldnt even make the agreed upon weight with Marquez, and that is pathetic for someone who walks around at 150lbs and is always on the gym as claimed by the *****s!

If that is the case I could fight at welterweight if I just dehydrate down. How healthy is it though to be 147 for anything more than a weigh in?

He should have even if the expected weight was 144. Is 3 pounds really the difference between a S&T coach or not? How about the biggest fight of his career.

That's pretty rare that he's been fighting at WW for 8 years and still walks around close to the divisional weight limit. Sergio Martinez is considered a small MW and he walks around at about 15 to 20 lbs. over the MW limit. Even Hopkins has to cut 10 to 15 lbs. to get to the LHW limit.

a guy (you) thinking that molina(who has a draw agaisnt lara and was winning agasint kirkland before dq) would be a bigger underdog than guerrero agaisnt floyd is truly stupid.

you are pretty much the only person here that would be so dumb to think this and actually post it.

and yes, james kirkland would be about a 3/1 dog against floyd.

this coming from a guy(me) who said that trout would open as a +200 against canelo.

    http://www.boxingforum24.com/showthread.php?t=463351&page=8

trout currently sits at +191 at www.pinnaclesports.com

please, feel free to put me on your ignore list.

    Thanks,

    Quincy K

This is why I always laugh when people say he always fights giants. May is a strong man.
