I don't see pics of Martinez afterwards I'm sure he's black and blue also, I know my lasting image of the fight is seeing Martinez a crimson mass and rolling on the mat:lol:

Chavez looked pretty damn sluggish to me. He had one minute to finish off a guy who was extremely hurt and wouldn't hold. That's a ton of time when you consider the circumstances. Chavez couldn't get the job done. Sergio's critics act like Sergio's punches weren't affecting Chavez. Yes, Chavez was landing big punches but he was also eating some in return which slowed him down. Sergio was spent but Jr was in worse condition considering his busted face, fatigue, and inability to close the distance consistently. Having to cut a ton of weight didn't help Jr either. It means his legs aren't as strong as they should be. Sergio would have KOed him in the 13th or 14th rd

And no he would not have finished him with 30 seconds left. By that point Chavez had let Martinez recover and was being out landed by him. He blew his one chance to finish him.

You are not gonna clinch a 190 Chavez when your a small MW, Martinez had to fight him off of him, and fight him for dear life, because he was definitely close, much respect for him surviving, but facts is facts, Chavez cracked his China, and he took all Martinez had to offer and was hurt not once.

The fight didn't prove nothing, therfore a rematch must happen, and it's a shame for Martinez too, his defining moment, is him bloody and Chavez towering over him, no hate or dick riding just truth

nobody can really say either way.. plenty of fighters have been hurt in a fight went down to the canvas gotten up and won the fight... just because he was hurt in the 12 doesnt mean that if the fight was to 15rds that he wouldve lost by KO

    :hat

if the fight was schedueled for 15 rounds, both guys would train for 15

Chavez fans are catching up to Haye's fans, the number would of's, could of's is catching up to what Haye would of, could of, should of done, but the facts are, that Sergio exposed Jr as a plodding, limited fighter who's lost when he steps into the ring with a decent opponent (although with a good chin and a lot of heart)

Would that be the one where Jr practically threw Martinez to the floor..? :patsch
30 more seconds and Martinez would have still won by UD.

Yeah winning a UD and 11 out of 12 rounds doesn't prove anything :nut
