Luis Alberto Lazarte vs. Ulises Solis II RBR

Round 1

Solis comes in jabbing high, taking sliding steps in as Lazarte flurries wide and tries to wrap his arms around Solis' back. Solis doubles the jab and drives Lazarte to the ropes. Lazarte is knocked back by a jab and exaggeratedly drifts all the way into a corner, running backward on his heels. Solis is extending his jab full length as he slides along after him. Lazarte uses bursts of lateral movement to keep Solis guessing and resetting and is fighting negatively, only flurrying a bit when he gets Solis spinning around. Solis walks him into the ropes and lands a pair of straight shots. Solis follows with the jab working at chest level. Chopping right by Solis, hits the back. Lazarte starts trying to time him with shots while circling inside but is missing.

Round 2

Solis stalks, jabbing. Lazarte is allowing himself to be walked to every set of ropes one by one and sitting on them long enough to lure Solis in before launching himself forward with wide gorilla-style chest-beaters. Lazarte has barely landed one clean punch. Solis isn't landing much besides his jab either, and even a good majority of his jab are finding empty space as Lazarte keeps up the negative tactics. Lazarte comes in whipping both arms low and hitting Solis on the hips and elbows.

20-18 Solis

 

You'll know it's a truly good fight when you see the ALL CAPS rolled out.

 

Round 3

More of the same. Solis jabbing, Lazarte staying negative like a reverse polarized magnet not letting Solis anywhere near him. Solis is warned for straying low after Lazarte sells it a bit with an overreaction. Lazarte again grimaces while leaning against the ropes after being hit with a body shot and dramatically gestures to the ref, who sighs at Solis. Again Lazarte complains and Solis is incredulous, throwing his arms up in frustration and looking at the referee with a shrug saying "Come on!!! Is this clown serious??" Good left hooks to the body by Solis. Lazarte is flipping his hands out on the inside, trying to land rabbit punches as Solis ducks down to aim his low hooks. Dirty *******.

30-27

 

Round 4

Solis is able to herd Lazarte completely around the ring, covering every inch of it with just his jab alone. You'd think Earnie Shavers was in there swinging bare fists with all the running and spoiling Lazarte is doing. Solis menaces him against the ropes, holding him in place with the threat of his jab on a zip-line to the same spot over and over before coming in with chopping overhand flurries. Lazarte is cat-pawing him away while on the ropes and targeting the back of the head as Solis ducks forward.

Not a wonderful pugilistic display, so far.
