I'll take the bait because we know this is posted to leverage the Crawford name.

1. Didn't Crawford just beat Spence's leftovers - in a fight that Crawford was losing at the time of the stoppage?
2. So, what is Crawfords best win? Crawford - post Spence fight? Or, Brook - post Spence fight?
3. Didn't Crawford get offered the Pacquaio fight, but Arum said that's not a fight they were interested in?
4. When was the last time Spence was dropped? Crawford was dropped by Kavaliauskas
5. Why is it that Crawford has to beat the fighters that Spence has already beat?

You do understand by propping Crawford up in the P4P rankings, you're also propping Spence up too? Just above Crawford.

Crawford DOES NOT have a better resume than Spence, I don’t understand how Crawford has y’all praising him like this when he has fought in the WEAKEST divisions in boxing and the second he got into a division with actual talent he don’t fight none of them..

Spence is in his first weightclass. Crawfords win over Gamboa was better than Spences Porter win in my opinion.

 

34 year old Crawford's best win is gatekeeper Porter who was already beaten by Spence.

 

Considering that I thought Porter edged Spence I say its between Garcia and Brook for Spence 's best wins (both impressive).

 

Spence's best win is a gift over Porter/plodder Garcia and Crawfords best win is much smaller Gamboa or his W over older commentator turned Porter (which was highly suspect itself - Porter arguably winning and his dad stopped the fight for no valid reason)

Why a Crawford Spence fight has hype is beyond me. They'll fight when they're both declined, which is happening as we speak. Then when they are past best, they'll charge $100 ppv and act like it's a meaningful fight.

Guys, boxing is not a sport its a goddamn circus show. Manufactured careers (pretty much everyone now, Canelo and Floyd do/did it to the extreme), blatant fixed fights (Crawford-Porter, Canelo's ventures at 168,175) and just all round dodgy ****.

It's all one big con

 

And Garcia is a guy who rejected the Crawford fight on more one occasion and publicly announced that he had no intention of fighting him.

 

I think it's fair to say Spence and Crawford lack a deep resume in what is traditionally a deep division.

They both need to step it up as neither has done enough to be anywhere near top of the P4P list.

It's there for the taking. It just needs both to grow a pair and stop fannying about.

 

Porter is both Spence and Crawford's best win at 147

Garcia is a good win for Spence, but Danny was best @140 and has always fell short at the top level - whereas IMO Porter is just a bit above Garcia.

Both have Kell Brook on their resume, but both wins IMO have a bit of an asterisk on them - far more so Bud's - that Brook was shot and shouldn't have been allowed near Bud. Spence get's major props for going over to Sheffield though, but Brook was arguably damaged goods after Golovkin and yoyo-ing up to 160 and back to 147 surely took it's toll.

Bottom line, they both need the other to really elevate their resumes, if they don't meet then both will be judged poorly by the hostory books IMO.

 

Bud needs to accept the B side of the purse split because he don't sell flies.
