One of my favourite champions - a 20 year old Mike Tyson.

I personally dont think he did. He started to wear more shots as the head movement started to fade. Many believe Tyson started to lose it when Cus died that was before Tyson turned 20. By 21 he didnt have the same movement Cus installed in him. IMO he really wasnt the same without Cus.

Rooney is the factor surely, and lack of discipline thereafter with the marriage to Givens and the circus around him. The first time I saw any deterioration in him at all was Bruno 1 in late 89.

In my opinion if Cus hadn't died and the spiders hadn't caught Mike in the webs he would have gone on to be the universally recognized GOAT.

Sadly Mike's savage and fragile mental state meant he was mentally shot in his early 20s.

Tyson might have not been as flashy as Roy but he had just an awesome style coupled with power in both hands. It was the speed in the hands, feet, body and head that left him IMO.

Yep. The so called best US HW today is Wilder. 2 years into his reign Wilder faced the mighty Sconiers having gone life and death with the legendary Dustin Nichols a few months earlier. Laughable but indeed true.
Wilder isn't fit to shine Tyson's shoes.

he was just too young to be champ in a way. if he'd been held back, he might have lasted longer.

Prime Tyson is probably P4P Goat.

Nobody has installed so much fear into his opponents ever. Never also i have witnessed man so poised to destroy you. Gus created monster, only if Gus has not died. Tyson could have lasted into late 20's and cement his place as Goat overall.not just the prime version.

And yes,i would choose Mike over anybody P4P. He would have killed Robinson,Ali,Duran,Mayweather,Jones jr,Louis,Leonard etc..

Mike was just that great and animal like no human ever has
