    Yeah!!

This should be MUCH better than Friday Night Fights. :bbb

Yet this will only get one tenth as many replies as the FNF thread. :-(

Boxing fans are so dumb. "Derp derp derp, it's in Spanish. I can't follow along with what's going on if someone speaking my own language isn't spelling it out and dumbing it down for me

    Man, Lorenzo looks ancient.

Keep in mind, though - he pushed Erik Morales to the limit back in December. That was every bit as tough a fight for EM as Maidana was (although he was maybe just a smidgen more motivated against Maidana :yep)

    Round 1

Ramos pops his right jab and stays well outside, using his faster feet to stay out of Lorenzo's reach with his feet spaced evenly apart at his shoulders. Lorenzo walks into a left hand and right hook combo. Lorenzo is feinting and resetting on the outside, hopping in place and trying to devise a plan as he works up a sweat. Ramos stays shifting to his right on the outside, popping jabs and quickly disappearing from view when Lorenzo starts to mount an attack. Another left hand and right hook combo by Ramos is blocked but claps loudly against Lorenzo's arms. Wild looping rights by Lorenzo surging forward. Lorenzo looks very tight, Ramos very loose and relaxed (but still alert and wary). Ramos keeps navigating the ring, sticking to the ropes and has Lorenzo lean up against him but no punches are thrown either way.

    10-9 Ramos

    Round 2

Huge right hand by Lorenzo, misses. He's carrying himself forward like a leaf in the wind with the sheer thrust of the shot. He keeps himself close to the retreating Ramos by just hang-gliding behind those powerful but slow rights. As a result, he's able to land a BIG left hook. Ramos takes it well and wisely keeps it moving. Right jabs by Ramos. Frenzied attack by Lorenzo, missing. Ramos watches him, waits until he's badly out of position and lurching forward and plants a left uppercut on his face. Lorenzo keeps staggering in, trying to block shots on his forearms and get close. Lorenzo warned for a low blow. Lorenzo stalks and nearly cuts Ramos off in a corner. Low sweeping right hook by Ramos as he gets himself some space. They trade with Lorenzo coming forward and Ramos firing off the back foot and the hardest, cleanest shot landed is a right hook to the chin by Ramos. More right hooks and upper-hooks leaning into range by Ramos. Left uppercut to the body by Ramos.

    20-18 LR Jr.

    Round 3

CRAZY windmills by Lorenzo. Ramos is staying well clear of that nonsense, not wanting to get caught with something stupid. Ramos keeps Lorenzo well outside with his jab and quick movement. As Lorenzo edges in on him Ramos takes a hurried step forward to tie him up until a break. Lorenzo is just soaring in with lead left hooks and crazy chariot-of-Helios right hands. They parry opposite stance jabs for a while, and Ramos surprises Lorenzo with a quick left uppercut to the jaw after getting him nice and calm with the easy-going jab battle. Lorenzo is angry and starts throwing some power punches of his own, but his technique and choice of range to throw them from is horrible.

    30-27 Luis Ramos Jr.

He might feel he has to knock this kid out to win. He might be right.

Problem is, he isn't a huge puncher.

    Round 4

Ramos is rolling now, landing his southpaw 1-2 fluidly in step as he backs up. Right hooks also crash into Lorenzo's face as he comes hammering in recklessly. Lorenzo is attacking wildly but just awkwardly enough to be dangerous, coming from different angles. Hard left uppercut by Ramos as Lorenzo is putting together one of his bunches of crazy punches. Left uppercut and right hook combo by Ramos scores. Then scores again. Lorenzo shows no sign of being hurt and throws hard at Ramos, not landing clean. Ramos rips him with that same combo again and backs up quickly as Lorenzo seems to be hulking up and drawing more adrenaline every time he gets hit. Ramos lands a perfect right check hook as he matadors Lorenzo into the ropes, then nails him with one more left uppercut as he's spinning about face.

    40-36 Ramos
