The only time they don't is for world title bouts, since those are obviously on a global standard.

Pineda is just walking straight through the wild wrecking ball shots of the bigger Ortiz, and landing some crisper straight shots up the middle. Ortiz wobbles Pineda a bit! Ortiz warned to keep his shots up. Ortiz is much busier but landing less cleanly.

10-9 Ortiz

 

Round 2

Ortiz has his right arm held straight down parallel to his body. He just taunts Pineda as he shuffles in on him with no defense and pops him with a hard counter 1-2 whenever Pineda nervously opens up. Ortiz lands nasty right hooks to the body. Just supreme confidence from Ortiz, acting like he doesn't even need to try defending against Pineda. Hard left uppercut by Ortiz, then turns the glove around to simply catch Pineda's jab as though he were a coach working the mitts.

20-18 Ortiz

 

Round 3

Ortiz is just clowning now, spinning his rear left fist in the air behind him as he menaces Pineda with hard right hooks and just bullies him around the ring. Hard left uppercut. When Pineda dives in with his orthodox 1-2 Ortiz just physically tosses him bodily across the ring. This is a pathetic mismatch of sheer brute strength as well as class. Ortiz comfortably picks Pineda apart from the outside, now jabbing and looking bored.
