He missed weight, he got away with ENDLESS low blows, had a 20lb weight advantage ....and was still outboxed by a guy in his 2nd pro fight.

He lost in every which way.

He missed weight as a tactic like Floyd Mayweather. Loma could have backed out. Most of the punches Loma fanatics obsess about were legit body punches. Loma outboxed Salido in the second half of the fight, but in the first half he got his **** pushed in. At the end of the day, Salido's fight plan was better than Loma's. He won more rounds and got a well deserved decision. Giving the victory to Loma would have been a terrible robbery like when Floyd Mayweather robbed Castillo or Maidana and we don't need more of that in the sport. Things are rigged enough in favor of the stars and Salido deserves a lot of respect for beating a two time Olympic champ, near prime fighter, on the verge of being recognized as the #1 p4p fighter in the sport. He snagged perhaps the greatest single victory of the last decade and nobody gives him credit. That's a shame. This was supposed to be a walk over, a formality, a coronation, and fait accompli but Salido threw a ****** wrench into everyone's plans. He made history that night, not Loma. He definitely deserved Upset of the Year more than Chris Algieri did for beating Provodnikov.

If Loma wanted to get the stink off his name, he should have rematched Salido like Mayweather did with Castillo and Maidana.

Salido was very lucky there wasn't another round left in the fight, he was getting hurt otherwise

Watch the fight again and make sure you get your eyes checked. I lost count of how many times cowardly scumbag Salido hit Loma low. It was ridiculous and he should have been DQd or docked several points. He made no attempt to make weight and needed to cheat to beat a guy in his second pro fight. If Salido wasn’t a POS scumbag, he would have accepted the many offers Loma’s team made for a rematch. Maybe try to beat Loma within the rules of boxing, make weight and fight like a champion. That’s not Salidos style. He’s a coward who had to cheat to win against a guy in his second pro fight. If this is your definition of a courageous fighter it says more about you than anything else.

    Don't compare Mayweather to Salido.

When Mayweather missed the designated weight in his fight against JMM, he has no obligation to make the weight because it was a non-title bout. And it was later revealed that Mayweather didn't breach the contract as he was allowed to not to meet the limit as long as still within the range and it only affected his pay.

Salido, on the other hand, was about to defend his title in his fight against Loma. Rather than defend his title as true champion, he cowardly chose to deliberately miss the weight by large margin and rehydrated as big as a welterweight at the fight night as the result. Salido might have won the fight, but no one doubt that he cheated and he came out at the ring that night not as a champion.

Salido has more courage in his left nut, than can be squeezed out of your entire male lineage. I know Loma inspires lots of hard crushes, but let's not get stupid. Salido is one of the the gamest fighters you'll ever see, so don't get who he is confused with your emotions.

Remember that some even **** on Loma for complaining to the ref when he gets hit low in fights now

Even if you don't agree the number of low ones is as high as this it's still obscenely high, and even more so for someone whose total punch connect was 142 punches, which FTR is 22 less than Loma's 164 legal shots, high enough to warrant being DQ'd and at the very least incurring multiple deductions. Had Cole just deducted one point from Salido the fight would've been a draw. But Eagle Eye Cole who somehow managed to pick out Dirrell and Abraham's feet getting a little tangled in order to conveniently not call a KD in favour of the away fighter somehow managed to miss all bar one of Salido's low blows even though many of them were as flagrant and low as hell and even when he had a perfect view of them.

If he’s not a coward, what do you call a guy who has to cheat to win, doesn’t even try to make weight to beat a guy in his second pro fight? Oh, and afterwards didn’t even have the guts to give him a rematch despite career high $ offers? What do you call a guy who does this?

A dirty fighter. That's a whole different thing from a coward. Someone can be both, but one doesn't create the other. It's fair to consider fighting dirty a cowardly act, which he may disagree with, but courage is measured in other ways. Salido has shown more heart than most, more than once. And he's needed it before.

Berchelt will have his chance soon. When Loma was at 130, Berchelt had no interest in the fight. I hope you guys don’t disappear when/if they fight because it will be a long night for Berchelt.

The only guys who have a chance against Loma are bigger guys. He’s fighting two divisions above his natural weight and winning on skill. At 130, he will toy with Berchelt. Don’t disappear when this happens.
