Strange stuff. [yt]E3io9mm_7Zo[/yt] Why did Alfaro keep giving up his back? (not counting the first time, when it was clear he was appealing for a break due to the headbutt) Why not take a knee and stay down? If you're going to quit, be ****ing safe about it. Why didn't the referee take the hint that one boxer kept turning completely around (and thereby quitting)? What the hell was the reason for the stoppage, anyway? Soto was thrashing him there, but they stopped it after a doctor looked at the cut caused by a headbutt. Was something said? Did Alfaro verbally quit? He seemed upset that it was over, as though they'd stopped it on the cut...but the cut was from an accidental butt (meaning it should have been a NC if that was the cause for the stoppage). :?:?:?
Alfaro just seemed to quit, Soto was dominating him bad in the last 30 seconds anyway, but indeed it's a strange how Alfaro quit.
Alfaro is hardly a bum. Way to reveal your ignorance. He has several losses because he's been in with several very good fighters. He's held a world title (and fought for one on three occasions). He gave Morales a tough fight. When he lost to Japanese punching phenom Kamegai in Tokyo, it was considered a mild upset. For Soto to manhandle him like that just shows Soto's class.
it looks to me that Alfaro was mad at Soto, thought the butt was on purpose. He didn't deal with it well, but I think because he felt it was flagrant.
A guy with 8 loses, 5 coming by ko, with a bunch of cab drivers under his belt, A BUM. Why doesn`t he manhandle Rios, Maidana , i think Lamont would whoop this guy`s ass at 140.
Soto did look like he had a killer instinct that night with some good pop, I just hope it shows up again in his next fights at 140, and hopefully against top tier opposition.
