I'm not sure how the timing will work out, as I'm already covering the heavyweight triple-header in Germany.

I probably won't be able to call the Munroe bout at all, and the British super featherweight title main event is questionable unless all three HW bouts in Hamburg end in quick kayos.

I'll try and juggle as much as possible, but if anyone wants to chip in to bolster this one it would be great. :good

Well, now, can't have this dying now can we?

Basically, first two rounds have all been Munroe. Straight left is killing Miyagi. Miyagi looking very slow, Munroe nice and sharp.

Rendall Munroe and Ryuta Miyagi seem to be involved in a somewhat messy scrap, with the binman bringing it to the Japanese visitor.

edit: DD is on it! :party

    Round 3.

Munroe bouncing on his toes, moving from side to side looking sharp. Lands a left to the body, left to the head. Now is in a corner, shell defense, Miyagi throws, but nothing landing. Munroe comes back with three straight left hands. A right hook follows. Munroe drops his hands and goes straight back and get hit with a silly right hand. Munroe losing focus a bit boucing around, not throwing much. Gets warned for a low blow. Munroe coming forward now for a bit. Lands a straight left to the body. Munroe losing focus, it seems he can finish this any time he watns, but he's letting Miyagi hand around.

    Round 4

More of the same. Munroe is moving from side to side. Pot shotting landing pretty much whenever he throws. Miyagi coming forward winging right hands and missing. Munroe straight left lands. Miyagi walking forward, Munroe bouncing around right hook, left hand lands. Now, Munroe covers up and stands there. Miyagi does work, but nothing significant just throwing arm shots. Munroe comes back with some nice counters. Munroe moving, Miyagi coming foward but missing.

    All Munroe.

Munroe again moving side to side on the outside. Miyagi misses a right hand, Munroe lands a nice left hand counter. Munroe jabbing a bit, lands a left hand. Another left hand, Miyagi stumbles back just a bit, Miyagi lands a glancing right hand. Munroe taking it a bit more serious now. Left hand lands. Miyagi keeps coming forward though, missing with shots. Miyagi misses with the right again and again Munroe makes him pay. Last few seconds now, Miyagi throws as Munroe just covers up in a corner. Again, nothing significant landing.

    50-45 Munroe.

Is it looking like a distance haul, Dan?

From my few brief glimpses it doesn't seem anybody's been badly hurt at any point.

In the middle of the ring, Munroe bouncing from side to side. Lands a 1-2 and backs out, Miyagi coming forward paws with the jab and misses with the right by a mile. Munroe backs up to a corner throws a 1-1-2 that lands, then a left uppercut to the body, and he circles away. Miyagi resumes coming forward and Munroe is content with staying in 1st-2nd gear. Munroe lands a jab. Miyagi misses with the right, Muroe with another straight left counter. Now Munroe on the ropes, and he goes in a shell again. Miyagi throws a combo, but again, nothing signinificant. Left hook to the body, right uppercut, jab, left uppercut, all hitting gloves.

    Munroe 60-54.

Looks that way. Munroe has caught Miyagi's attention a couple of times with the left hand, but he hasn't been hurt. And Munroe isn't stepping on the gas, so yeah, this might be going the distance.

Munroe on the ropes to start the round. Miyagi lands a couple of sneaky left uppercuts, Munroe counters with a right hook, and dances away, Miyagi coming forward, and Munroe just throwing the odd straight left now. He's in sparing mode just caring Miyagi. Miyagi walking forward, Munroe dancing away goes into a brief job. A lot of feints, not many counters just the odd left hand. Might be a Miyagi round just because Munroe didn't do much, but I still give it to Munroe.

Munroe dancing, away, not taking it seriously. Now a little spurt, lands a combo a couple of body shots. But now is on vacation justmaking Miyagi miss, and landing the odd counter every now again. Much like the last round. Basically, Munroe is winning these rounds now, basically, off defense and ring generalship. Miyagi throwing, but just missing badly, and Munroe not really making him pay any more.

This is like Manny Pacquiao vs. Bobby Pacquiao, in many ways.

Their skill levels are about as starkly distinct, as is their hand speed. The wildness of Miyagi compared to Munroe is comparable to Bobby's compared to post-Roach Manny.

Munroe seems as unwilling to really punish Miyagi as Manny would be toward his own flesh and blood.

    Round 9

Munroe having fun in there just boxing nicely, moving from side to side. Nice thudding left hand lands and he moves away. Miyagi pns him to the ropes, but Munroe lands a left hand and circles to his right. Nice combo by Munroe, but decides to just move away again. Munroe gets Miyagi up against the ropes, lands a nice right hand backs away and Miyagi misses again very badly. Miyagi swinging and missing Munroe just jobbing, bobbing and weaving out of the way. Another Munroe round. I would expect Munroe to may'be turn it on in this last round. May'be go for the stoppage.
