Ah yes, with his 'crack' analysis of the situation?

I came onto this thread only because of Billy's name here, but I won't listen, I'll wait for the local guys to do their 'real radio' interview on Wednesday. At least the local bias will be honest and expected. :D

Tell you what Paddy. You promise to tell Lyell that you said this and I might consider listening. But, I can make sure this comment makes it to his ears when he is on the local station. :deal

heres the artical i have copy and pasted it

Mere hours after John Duddy’s loss I sit awake pondering what the future has in store for my favorite boxer. Many options have crossed my mind. Perhaps he will come home and aim for a European title shot and work his way back up the rankings. Perhaps he will stay in America and try to rebuild. One thing is clear to me, Duddy MUST avenge the loss suffered to Billy Lyell. I believed that Duddy was a better boxer before the fight and I still believe that now.
Unfortunately I have yet to see the fight, but the result tells its own story, Duddy was out boxed by Lyell. I congratulate Billy on this victory. He was a very likable guy when speaking to him, so much so that I got the impression that he was not up for this fight. I was wrong and I have no problem admitting that.

However I still have faith in John, and I refuse to turn my back on a fighter who has put himself on the line and given me and many other fans countless hours of entertainment.
No doubt there will be thousands of fans logging on to boxing websites all over the internet who will refer to Duddy as a bum. They will say he was never worthy of a title shot, they will say he was exposed. John Duddy is not the type of man to give up easy, or to go away quietly and without a fight.
    John Duddy is Irish.
There have been several times in Irish history when we looked to have been beaten but we never gave up. Duddy will not walk away. He will come back to prove himself, and not for the naysayers on the internet, and not even for his fans. He will want to prove to himself that he his worthy of being talked about in the same breath as Barry McGuigan, Dave McAuley, Wayne McCullough, Steve Collins and indeed Bernard Dunne.

**** man. I might be able to call in. I got a huge hockey game to watch tonight at the sports bar with my bro, but I might skip it dunno yet.

If I don't call can you ask him his thoughts on Wlodarczyk vs Fragomeni? And possibly a fight vs the winner...

I know your American so you probably dont know how to say Wlodarczyk so just say DIABLO he will know who that is..lol

BTW is there a translator or what?

His English aint to good but im sure he can understand more than he can speak..

Mods. Time to rethink your policy. We all KNOW these other sites but choose to come here. The link policy is actually getting a little annoying when it interferes with the flow of a conversation. Please, rethink this.

But yeah ive no problem admitting i was wrong but that was the impression i got from speaking to him and i know i wasnt the only one but ive said it in other places before the fight hes a good dude no doubt!

What good am I if i dont call it how i see it? The gauntlet was laid down to Billy to prove me wrong! and that he did if he does come to ireland I'll buy him a pint after the match win loose or draw.

Id like to see him rematch duddy in ireland!
