That's an exaggeration. SSM struggled through the first half. By the twelfth round, he was going to win a comfortable decision.
I picked Mosley to win the fight and was surprised that Cotto actually won it, not sure who Id have lent towards in a rematch :think As for the rest of the division, I would have favored Mosley over most everyone, but Paul Williams was at his best then and I do remember thinking that Williams would give anyone who gave him a shot around that time as much as they could handle and then some. (then he loses to Quintana atsch) That was a badass division at that time.
I actually thought at several times during the course of the match Mosley hurt Cotto to the point where Miguel would just stop in his tracks, but like in the Mayweather match, just didn't press the action at those key moments. Miguel was a sucker for uppercuts back then.
Mosely clearly lost that fight IMO. I was routing for him too... he turned on the gas too late and Cotto had one too many rounds for Mosely to get the decision.
please watch it, so u can slowly un-******* urself. you'll find out there are alot of great fighters outside of Manny and Floyd
Wow first time I watched it to score it, edged it to Cotto. But upon just viewing it for entertainment I just noticed how they're landing against each other pretty often due to how little HEAD movement they are using.
That fight had me screaming at Jack Mosley. Why the hell he told Shane to start boxing, I'll never know. Shane was getting the best of Cotto in exchanges. Whenever he would try to box, Cotto would take the round. I remember a round when I thought Shane would knock him out. What does Jack tell him after the round: "You've got to get up on your toes."atsch
Holy ****, I was saying the exact same thing. Jack was clueless as to what was going on in the ring that night, and probably cost his son the fight, imo
