Round 1

Toughill is stalking, karate-chopping with the left across Cornejo's lower jab, partially stuffed on the right palm as Cornejo drops it from up by her eye. Cornejo is circling & jabbing, drawing Toughill along on a string. Toughill is rushing in past the jab, head lowered or tilted rightward, spearing lead rights into Cornejo's throat. Very light on her toes, Cornejo is surrendering the ring, moving laterally, churning the air with light jabs.

Round 2

Toughill is walking Cornejo down with constant pressure, using herky-jerky rocking from side to side as she encroaches, rowing out the left glove to bat down Cornejo's jabs and lining her up with heavy rights down the pipe. Cornejo is slapping at the midriff with light underhanded flurries and stepping wide around Toughill with pawing defensive jabs. Toughill keeps marching her into the ropes, and is spun with her own back against them, while Cornejo tries clinching and gets chopped with a counter right while flurrying to smokescreen her attempt.

Round 3

Toughill is reaching in with a 1-2, leaving her left extended to smack aside Cornejo's attempted counter jabs, then following up with another right. Toughill scoring with lead left hooks and right hands marching forward, while Cornejo spirals away from her hurriedly, fluttering out a few jabs, her early tries at clinching shrugged off in displays of superior strength from Toughill. Cornejo lands a couple of jabs on the nose and Toughill leans inside her outstretched arm and tags her with a right.

Round 4

Toughill is still advancing, but with less conviction now, her legs growing more leaden. Cornejo in consequence is able to dart in and out landing jabs and shoeshines, getting out before she can be punished. Cornejo also mixing in some body shots, but straying low. The ref puts up a finger in warning after Cornejo lands a few on the camel toe. Still pretty steady pressure from Toughill, but Cornejo is the one doing all the landing now, albeit on the backfoot and without sitting down on anything.

Well, then chalk it up to optical illusion, the wonders of makeup and lighting. She looked good in this interview.

 

Round 5

Toughill is stomping in and unloading right hands up top. Cornejo is smothering her, breast to breast, pushing her into a corner and landing with hooks on the liver and high fishing-rod right hands on the sideburns. Toughill is still landing with lead rights but Cornejo is moving with them, drifting backward and breaking laterally, always leaving a trail of jabs for Toughill to walk onto.

Round 6

Toughill is jumping in, landing lead left hooks and raking the right hand down across Cornejo's gob. Toughill is giving Cornejo no room to get off, chucking power shots at her, making Cornejo's body flurries bounce ineffectively off her sides and elbows. Toughill is flicking out a slow jab off her front leg, keeping it up in Cornejo's line of sight to disguise her power punches.

Round 7

Toughill is walking into jabs and has a big rope of snot hanging from her nostril, the mucus ostensibly pounded out from whatever passage it was lodged in by Cornejo's stick. Gross. Toughill is forcing Cornejo to run almost nonstop under heavy fire, spamming the right hand and keeping her more or less honest with a fat left hook on the other side, leaving Cornejo no choice but to use quick (and energy-draining footwork) or jump in to clinch.
