Toughill is mauling Cornejo, slugging with ponderous and telegraphed left jabs and right crosses but digging in hard with them, making Cornejo scramble for dear life. Toughill is hurling herself at Cornejo, getting caught up in clinches with her armpits under-hooked by Cornejo's gloves, almost lifted off the ground in her grasp before quickly being set down. Toughill missing big right hands on the way in, but almost trapping Cornejo against the ropes, grazing her with more jabs & rights, pumping away until the bell.

Vegas judges tonight went 0-2 in the co-main and main event, IMO.

 

Cynthia Conte asks if Cornejo would consider a rematch with Franchon Crews Dezurn. Maricela says "nah, she's a super middleweight". Cynthia asks "well, do you want to go up and take her belt?". Maricela says no. She is willing to rematch Crews Dezurn only if the latter is willing to boil herself to 154lbs. Blatant duck. Toughill shouldn't hold her breath for a rematch either.

 

Dougie Fischer being diplomatic, reading a Tweet from somebody claiming the best case scenario for Maricela was a draw, and saying he agrees. The commenters in the Periscope chat are furious with his refusal to outright take a stand, chiding "no a draw would not be okay"
