I think Ceballo is "supposed" to win easily.

 

Brian Ceballo vs. Luis Alberto Lopez Longoria, 4 rounds @ light middleweight

 

I think Bohachuk vs. Johnson was still the co-main, they just chose to jumble the order a bit for some unfathomable reason. This and the previous one are early-card fodder.

 

This was actually scheduled to be a 140lb match-up but they both missed weight; Longoria by quite a whopping margin.

Ceballo weighed in at 145¾, so at least comfortably inside welter - but Longoria tipped scales at 151.

 

TKO1. Lame. Anticlimactic. Barely any meaningful shots thrown.

edit: Longoria's nose got busted from just a couple of (partially blocked) Ceballo right hands.

 

Ryan Martin vs. Luis Eduardo Flórez, 10 rounds @ light welterweight

 

Round 1

Flórez is hooking the crotch (to be fair Martin's trunks are hoisted a little too high, more than an inch above the navel) and jabbing straight into the sternum while stepping around Martin. Counter jabs and 1-2s by Martin. Flórez is falling in taking wide slices at the gilded hem on Martin's trunks. Martin is standing upright to gather his long yet powerfully built forelimbs in a vertical defensive formation when not punching, able to screen out all of Flórez's headhunting attempts.

Round 2

Flórez is hooking up top, getting ducked and countered with short compact punches by Martin. Flórez is stalking, mixing up his attack from odd angles with a jerky unpredictable rhythm, applying pressure in spurts with hard corkscrew body shots, but Martin isn't rattled by any of it. Just cruising, tapping out a double-jab beat on the chin of Flórez, and working combos up & down, head to body to head again.
