There were some poor timing decisions made, as the HW slug-fest between "Vikingo" Trujillo and "Semental" García Muñoz has been raging in the background this whole time Conte & Loeffler were just casually shooting the breeze. Like, wtf, the point of this broadcast is live boxing, yes? I don't care how low-level that boxing is, this is a Sunday night, we aren't really expecting much...but don't just randomly tease us with a few cutaway shots of live action unfolding in a ring behind the hostess and event promoter.

Donte Stubbs vs. Francisco Antonio Alfaro, 4 rounds @ light heavyweight

 

This was scheduled for middleweight but Stubbs (who is 2-0) missed weight by 2½lbs; Alfaro (whose record is an inverse of Stubbs' at 0-2) by 10¼!

 

Fischer gave Alfaro round 1. Eh, yeah, I don't see why not. Close, nothing-burger round.

 

Oh man, Stubbs getting legitimately wailed on in the second, however. Damn..mild upset brewing?

 

Stubbs has no answer for Alfaro's volume punching. Alfaro pressuring awkwardly but nonstop, stuffing uppercuts into the bottom of the jaw. Stubbs is floating a high left jab and trying a shoulder roll backing up, but looks uncomfortable throughout, only able to catch a breather and stop taking lumps when he ties up.
