Prime versions of Ruddock, Bruno, Ribalta, Tubbs, and a post prime but still very good Holyfield, who would win? How shot was Lewis at 37?

Looking at the very tough fights a 1998 Holyfield gave Lewis, I think that same version of Evander could have gotten a decision over 2003 Lewis. Prime Tubbs would have a shot at getting a points win if he wasn’t tagged too hard. His chin was shaky. Ruddock and Bruno would have punchers chances but then again looking at the way old lennox took out Rahman and battled Vitali I’m not sure. Any version of Lewis beats any version of Jose Ribalta.

Ruddock and 93 Bruno could stop him, Tubbs is in for a long night. He beats Ribalta pretty sure.

He beats Bruno and Ribalta, loses to Tubbs, Ruddock and Holyfield.

Prime Tubbs would be too fast.

Tubbs he beats out of sight. Tubbs was never that good anyway. Who did he ever beat?

The older he got, the better Lennox got at controlling the pace. None of these guys were energetic enough to impose themselves on such a confident champion enough to expose his age.

Ruddock offered a lot of openings. He walks onto something, a younger Lewis had his number and so would the old one.

Ribalta and Bruno? They didn’t beat good live fighters. Lewis was always live. And good.

The guys to beat Lennox had rushed him. Broke that concentration. None of these guys would do that.

Frank gets closest. No closer than Vitali.

Vitali would have beaten Bruno and could take Lewis`s shots at the end of that fight because he had a better chin.

Bruno was leading on the scorecards before Lewis stopped him in 1993.

it was a 12 round fight not a 7 round fight. Being ahead means nothing

I’m not that high on Bruno, and I am not that high on Vitali.

who was the best guy Vitali beat? Peter? Sanders? Hide?

Once Vitali began defending his title on his own promotions he was really matched to win all of the time. And there really wasn’t any good fighters to challenge him. The Americans did not travel well. They all turned up unprepared to fight for keeps. Arriving discouraged and leaving demoralised.

Bruno fought better guys than Vitali ever did. But they all beat Frank. And they would have beat Vitali too.

providing Frank beats Sanders, and I don’t think sanders was as good as Oliver McCall, I can’t think of a single guy better than Frank Bruno that Vitali actually beat.

    And that’s not saying much.
