i can to say the same thing when many clowns (principally tyson fans) say "george foreman was a punk with some power".... on this forum.

I think Louis beats most men in the top 10, but probably loses to vitali and wlad.
Haye would get KOd, same with arreola Peter and adamek.
Povetekin might have a good chance. Louis IMO could dominant a lot of these guys soley on his jab and power alone.

If having a personality to you is being a ***** to everyone you ever meet then so be it. But I'd advise you to take example of the likes of Pachilles/Boxed Ears than Foreman Hook (a joke account) if you want to be a personality, posters that are actually funny and can back up their views in a respectful manner. Agree, re first paragraph 1 above. Prime Louis could knock out virtually any heavyweight for all these reasons...great finisher too.

Re para 2, I feel he was usually patient, but I don't think he was patient against Shmeling in '38. In "Joe Louis, My Life", Joe states he told Chappie Blackburn before the fight "it goes in one". I actually think prime Louis could possibly KO Wlad in one round...against Vitali, I think cuts probably come before a KO.

On the issue of a 37 year old Louis, I don't see him having enough left in the tank to beat Vitali, he may have a puncher's chance against Wlad.

We should remember that being top world class in your late 30's 60-70 years ago was a lot rarer than it is today. Health, Nutrition etc have improved massively in the last 60-70 years, so I really don't think it's a fair comparison.

2003 vitali vs prime joe louis :i can see both ways, of course louis might not ko him in 1 round(like an idiot said ).joe louis might cut him and to win by tko. is more probable that vitali knocks him out than vice versa. because vitali has better chin by far. he was taller than any rival of louis (even carnera). and vitali is not just big, he has skill, great strength,good stamina, good chin and great hitting power.

vitali today vs old louis: vitali by tko or ko. it would not be even close.

I agree. Vitali would be too big and overwhelming for old Louis. He would make Louis miss a lot.
