Round 1

Faro uses hooks and right hands up top to smash away at Perez's face. The baby-faced Perez tries to line up a 1-2 while hopping around in circles to his left, bending his sneakers at the ball and instep as he pounds the canvas and tries to get angles on Faro. Constant aggression by Faro, getting those power shots up to the face despite missing a fair amount.

Round 2

Perez is trying to box outside with his jab, and force Faro to settle down and respect his jab. It takes the right hand to finally achieve the desired effect, as Faro starts walking into it and not liking how it feels. Perez is lining up his straight shots and stringing them together in combination. Faro is still landing some high wild hooks but is missing most. Perez is landing well with his straighter shots and keeping Faro out behind the jab.

Round 3

Faro is getting inside and working those high reckless hooks. Perez is no longer able to keep him out with the jab. Faro is all over the youngster, swarming him and going absolutely hog wild with hooks. BIG LEFT HOOK TO THE FACE AS THEY TRADE, THEN A LEFT HOOK TO THE BODY AND A RIGHT TO THE BODY BY FARO! Big time exchange!! Faro rushes in trying to land hooks and eats a stiff jab. They again trade hooks (Faro a left, Perez a sweeping right) and Perez is knocked back and lands on his ass as Faro barely keeps his own feet after squatting down precariously!! Perez beats the count but his nose is bloodied and his facial expression is dazed. The ref jumps in!!

FARO WINS, TKO!!!!

 

That was man vs. boy.

Perez probably has a greater ore of natural talent and would probably win a rematch in four years or so...but right now, tonight, Faro was just the tougher, better man.

 

Once they showed the different angle with his nose spouting like a pint of blood and the glossed-over look in his eyes, I can see why the ref made that decision (even though Faro wasn't landing anything particularly big after the KD)
