39 year old Lazarte wins world title by shocking Carlos Tamara!

    Haven't really seen a mention of this. Another Argentine Champion.

    Just watched the fight, really bruising encounter and a great victory for Lazarte.

    Finally, in his fifth attempt at a world title, 39 year old Lazarte showed incredible courage, heart, and a bit of experience to shock Viloria-conquerer Carlos Tamara.

    Fight was a SD win but it was certainly not a hometown decision, Lazarte started stronger and finished brilliantly for a old fighter by sweeping the final rounds. Find yourself a copy if you can.

    And it likely will again, because I don't see Lazarte being able to hold it for very long. Still, it's nice to see his persistence pay off like that.

    39 as a flyweight?damn.that's pretty good.the little guys are scrappy but to keep up like that and finally get it at 39 is pretty good.
