Moderate risk. Pavlik didn't exactly sparkle against Lopez, but Winky will be coming off a layoff of well over two years (it isn't like they'll sign to fight next week; we'd be talking autumn or something...making it at least 30 months since the Williams loss) and he hasn't won since 2006...and has never won above the middleweight limit.

Besides, it's a big enough name to be worth whatever risk Winky still poses now. Quite a big name actually, even if Winky looks like **** and the victory winds up not meaning much to the diehards. Possibly even the best name on his resume, depending on whether you value Wright's or Taylor's name more highly.

It would be good for Kelly. Winky is 39 and all but Im sure he would give kelly 5 quaility rounds and Leave winky with a nice payday!

It's a fight Wink could very well win in his day, Wink is a style nightmare for a lot of people.

But I'd rather my boy stay retired. I don't see him pulling a Morales.

I was a huge Wright fan...dude disgraced his career by being an arrogant *******...he had ATG and middleweight champ written all over him.

I understand where your comin' from.:good

(I'm confident in Pav too though..:p)

but yeah, Winky was in the p4p lists forever for a reason.

Don't know if he REALLY ever belonged at MW though, what you think?

And he truly has been inactive for quite a while, and even the last time he fought, it had been a long time before that too. any idea where his game is these days?
