Anybody watching? If so, can you give any updates? Those on Twitter are few and far between and not very detailed (and some are in Polish). So far as I can tell, it's a round or two in and Fields is being dominated but hasn't been dropped yet. Wach is being described - by a Polish fan, mind you - as looking slow, horrible, and boring...so I can only imagine how bad Fields' performance must be. :!:
Entering the fifth round, and Fields is pushing some weak right jabs and ambling around with poor balance rather aimlessly as Wach just cowers for no reason and throws some extremely slow rights to the body. Horrendous pace. Both just pushing their punches, incredibly slow. 1-2 by Fields, taking about five seconds to execute. Wach literally waddles out of the way. This is awful. It makes Dimitrenko vs. Sosnowski look like a heavyweight thriller for the ages. Some clubbing shots to the face by Wach, and Fields looks like he's ready to cry even though he's absorbing a lot of the impact on the back of his gloves. :barf
Sixth... Lots of glove touching. Wach circles and eats a few slow right jabs. Fields gets confident and pumps it out with more authority. Big slow right hand by Wach. Fields keeps landing the slow jab to the face as Wach's attempted head movement is just too slow. Big right by Wach. Now some piston combos by Wach. Slow but powerful. Fields down. KTFO!
Wach took 6 rounds to dispatch of Fields? Fields usually goes down in the first 2 or 3 rounds when in tough
Wach isn't really a power puncher. Still, he did what was expected in a fashion that was more impressive than simply grinding out a decision. Edit: Just read IB's report of the "action" that preceded it. Ok...it wasn't that impressive, I guess.
