Being bigger & stronger than his opponents is a large part of Rios' success, I'm not sure how well he'll do up at 140. He plods forward in straight lines with little upper-body/head movement & is easy to tag. He might win a war with Maidana or Matthyese but the better boxers in the division would box circles around him. Out of that list I think he'd beat Judah & maybe Kotelnik but I wouldnt favour him over the rest. Garcia would smash him to peices but I think he'll be fighting Marquez next & will get the beating he so richly deserves.
:good He isnt beating guys by using smart tactics or using a great degree of skill. He just plods forward & swings for the fences, he's a tough brawler but I dont rate him. He's had some exciting fights at 135 but when he comes up against guys who are the same size & strength as he is then we'll see what he's really made of. That fight will have put a dent in his confidence & hopefully he'll get beaten when he steps up to 140.
Yeah hes relying on being freakishly strong at 135 to walk his opponets down and punish them his actaul boxing skillset isnt amazing to be honest at times John Murray was boxing better then him in that fight at 140 guys like Marquez Maidana and Peterson are probably just as strong as him and People like Bradley will be stronger then him.
