Four rounds in the bank, according to Tyc Sports unofficial scorecards Narvaez swept them all.

    Round 5

Narvaez lands some straight right flick-jabs and does his best work with the left. Overhands and uppercuts. Cabrera tries to swat down at the smaller man but is turned and countered. Ole`! Narvaez landing well to the body and head.

    10-9 Narvaez

    Round 6

Narvaez is still varying his attack nicely, landing right jabs to the head and left straight & uppercuts to the body from outside. Cabrera tries to down-jab at Narvaez's head, and then tries some underhanded pendulum rights to the body to change tacks. Narvaez counters everything with solid right jabs while folding himself in the middle with his butt jutting out or leaning to the side or moving quickly out of position...upending his bag of defensive tricks and always in position to counter with that right jab and set up sneaky power shots with the left.

    10-9 Narvaez

    Round 7

Narvaez is the aggressor despite giving up about four apparent inches in height. He's coming forward, moving his head to slip jabs, and landing windmill shots with both fists. Cabrera keeps covering up but not moving his head or changing his predictable footwork patterns, so Narvaez keeps landing. BIG overhand right hook by Narvaez. Overhand left. Cabrera is getting rocked around the ring. Narvaez pushes him to the ropes, and pops him with a 1-2 to the face. Cabrera tries to pull him into a clinch. The ref warns Cabrera for something, maybe leaning down and leading with his head? He hasn't been holding excessively, yet..

    10-9 Narvaez

70-63 Narvaez if you want to take Boxeo Di Primera's unofficial scorecard on faith. (and I see no reason to believe Cabrera would have earned a share between 1-4)

    Some Mexican. :conf

    20-2-2 with eight knockouts.

Kind of a "safe" opponent for Narvaez's first defense moving back down in weight after the Donaire selling-out debacle.

    Round 8

Narvaez is landing some nice left uppercuts coming forward, and throwing Cabrera off rhythm by also casting some fishing line overhand lefts on the way in. Always the right jab serves as a blinding flash in Cabrera's field of vision. All Cabrera can do is flail back at the smaller man. Headbutt. Accidental, but initiated by Cabrera dropping his face down atop Narvaez's skull. Narvaez's left eye is cut badly!! Narvaez is MAD! He finishes the round with some more left uppercuts.

    10-9 Narvaez

    (80-72 Narvaez?)

Back to the status quo. :yep

Forget Donaire, this opponent is a step down from Zaleta/Seda/Urina. :-(

Seda is actually really ****ing good. I think he'll win a belt someday.

He gave Narvaez his hardest title defense at super fly IMO.

    Round 9

Narvaez's cut is terrible, blood smearing all down his face. It isn't dripping into his eye too much, so he's still able to be accurate with that southpaw jab coming forward. Whipping lefts to the head. Cabrera falls in and clinches. Excessive holding now by the Mexican. A few short right uppercuts on the inside. Not much offense, really. Pause. Cut checked out. OK. Narvaez keeps coming, bullying the taller man. Cabrera tries to contain him by holding, can't, tries to land some uppercuts, misses or grazes, and runs.

    10-9 Narvaez

    (90-81 Narvaez?)

    Round 10

Narvaez is whipping the Dickens out of Cabrera with that left hand, using it as a quick hook from outside although still fighting out of the southpaw stance. Big pincer combos by Narvaez, trapping Cabrera's head between right upper-hooks and left overhands & uppercuts. Excellent activity, timing & accuracy by Narvaez. Not much more he can do here. Cabrera's chin seems to be holding up, so I don't envision a stoppage...just a very dominant shutout. Cabrera is in survival mode, leaning his tall frame down on Narvaez where he can but otherwise running away. Nothing but weak "leave me be" jabs coming back.

    10-9 Narvaez

    (100-90 Narvaez?)
