Principe es muy macho, but Chocolatito is an absolute stud.

The body shots shipped both ways. :scaredas: All phonebooth action. Spine-tingling stuff.

Hirales actually found a lot of success - especially in the 3rd - doubling up the thudding left hand over the top after a fake-out right hook.

Gonzalez took a few of those dead to rights, full power.

There were questions raised about Chocolatito's defensive liabilities and possibly chin in his last several outings (particularly against Chango Vargas) that have now been satisfactorily answered IMO.

Yeah, a good fighter is going to be able to hit him when he's overeager. He can take a solid hit, though. More than solid.

Can't stress enough that Garcia is a very good fighter - he was just outmatched here in every area: offensive & defensive skill, poise, speed, power, reflexes...and ultimately durability, as Gonzalez proved to be the one who could take the same as he dished out.


The end was pretty brutal and sudden. Just an explosive sequence out of nowhere. (although Gonzalez had definitely been winning the round)

Right to the body, left hook up top...then a BIG uppercut. Down goes Garcia Hirales in a sprawl.

Bravely, up.

Quick left hooks to head, body, head again from Gonzalez....then a quartet of uppercuts!! NOCAUT!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm curious to see how Shay looks since he's been sparring at the Mayweather Boxing Club including with Floyd himself. He was supposed to be in with a better opponent tonight; hopefully he doesn't come in with a lax mentality and instead brings his A game to try and get Bruce out of there.
