We already know that 3G sparred and showed his power against big names like Canelo, Jr, Quillin and Angulo but what about those rumours where he humbles heavy weight guys ?! So I searched something about that i.e an article where 3G sparrs with 2 big guys : http://www.google.ro/url?sa=t&rct=j...YvTiYL_j8ekojb5Jt2P2sJQ&bvm=bv.48705608,d.bGE The opinions of these 2 guys about 3G's power : Both Coyne (LHW / CW) - Hes a f__king beast, said Coyne, a 20-0 cruiserweight prospect who has recently dropped down to light heavyweight. Hes been running guys out of here. Nobody under 175 pounds will spar with him. Ive sparred with heavyweights who can punch, including This content is protected and This content is protected , nobody has hit me as hard as Golovkin. His power is out of this world. Im learning a lot by being in the ring with him, said Coyne, who observed that Golovkins power is due to his punching technique and positioning as much as it his physical strength and natural ability. Hes not a big middleweight, but he dictates range very well and he puts you at the end of his shots, so you always get the full impact. Hes so poised and professional, picking every shot; I have no choice but to learn. I cant compete with him just by being bigger and more athletic. David Imoesiri (CW / HW) - The dude can hit, Im still getting used to it, said Imoesiri, who like Coyne, is delightfully bright and articulate. Its crazy. I sparred with [undefeated WBA heavyweight beltholder] This content is protected and he never hurt me like this guy. I must have done 50 rounds while in camp with Povetkin and it was three and half weeks before he hit me with something that made me hold on. With Golovkin I was ready to get out of the ring 45 seconds into our first round of sparring. He hit me with two lefts to the body in the identical spot and had me doubled over. I got through it but its hard to defend against 6-inch punches with that much pop. He backs me into a corner with just a jab. And it seems like he does it effortlessly. This is what I found about 3G's sparrings against bigger guys. Of course these 2 aren't even "B level boxers" but they mention that they had sparred against known HWs like Povetkin, Wach and Perez and they weren't hit so hard by these as 3G did. Maybe they are too subjective, maybe Povetkin, Wach and Perez went easy/light sparrings against them ( Coyne and Imoesiri ) but who knows .:think I'd like to see 3G sparring with top guys from SMW or LHW like Ward, Froch, Pascal, Hopkins or Kovalev to see how powerful/good he is . :yep p.s : here's what Macklin says about 3G power : "Its a different kind of power, Macklin said. Its not explosive. Its more clubbing. You can feel the weight of every punch he throws.

:yep Im learning a lot by being in the ring with him, said Coyne, who observed that Golovkins power is due to his punching technique and positioning as much as it his physical strength and natural ability. Quillin is arrogant and gutsy when he's asked about 3G cuz he knows that a fight with him isn't gonna happen too soon. Being with SHO guarantees to Quillin the safeness of NOT fighting with 3G whos with HBO ... :yep:deal
"Kovalev wasn't who I thought he was going to be when I had him in the ring sparring with gggboxing" - Abel Sanchez When this was posted in the Russian social network group dedicated to Golovkin, Kovalev himself wrote the following comments (I translate them into English): "- Abel is over the top))) Come to earth. There were many sparring sessions and each sparring went differently. But I can say for sure that Gena is very tough and it's truly hard to box with him" And then TomLoeffler1 -"this was taken out of context-Abel was very complimentary toward Kovalev-he beat up everybody in sparring except GGG"
thanks bro ! :good this is the kind of posts that I want to see in this thread. :yep well if Kovalev says that its truly hard to box with 3G then must be true. :yep
A fighter called Tyrell Hendrix said Golovkin is the hardest puncher he's ever been in there with too. He said he hits harder than Edison Miranda. Hendrix also claims to have dropped Golovkin in sparring, although I'm not sure why he's boasting about it seeing as he's a light-heavyweight and Golovkin is a small middle, if there's any truth to it that is. 3:09 mark [yt]OtssY32HoU4[/yt]
3G reminds me of Kostya Tszyu with his style. I really enjoy watching him fight because he is both powerful in both hands and very accurate.
