My god who are you trying to convince. Sparring is sparring. Golovkin is still untested at the top level. It's nice that he hits hard but he is still a very small guy. Lets see him in with Ward and see how bad he looks. Some of you are spending all day trying to convice NORMAL boxing fans that Golovkin is the next Tyson. I need to see him in with the best then we can talk. I'm still not sold on his skin. He seems to swell easy.
He did NOT boast he simply answered the question and moved on.. But Golovkin fan are going to take this a blasphemy, Instead of "it is, what it is ". He then goes on to say how powerful Golovkin is.
Be interesting to find out if it was true or not as Golovkin claims to have never been off his feet. :good I guess it must've slipped his attention he was being filmed and it was going to be put out there for everyone to see. I mean it's not like he had a camera shoved in his face or anything. atsch Ever heard the phrase 'what happens in the gym, stays in the gym'? He obviously wanted people to know otherwise he would've kept his mouth shut
maybe so but tkoing bute and having guys like hnn and felix sturm essentially throwing giving their belts away says a lot. ggg may not be successful at 168 but there is no one that wont be an underdog against him at 154-160. I cant see a single guy beating him other than maybe Sergio if he can somehow turn back the clock five years and have a career night at that.
you're again about to underrate another up and coming great fighter. i don't understand how you can't see it.
 Riiiiggghhht !! In the mean time half the board celebrates a small victory each time they watch the Floyd vs Paul Spadafora sparring match.
No Martin Murray doesn't have to fight him. WTF would Murray fight him. Aint no one wanna see that fight. How about a rematch vs Sergio since Murray was robbed for the Ring middleweight title.
Yeah, kinda don't know what the question is. Gena himself certainly has no problem as a fighter with the idea of losing or being knocked down, it's merely a statement of fact that it hasn't happened in any of his fights so far. Remember, he lost in an Olympic final, and no matter what pro boxing fans perceptions are, that musta been one of the bitterest things any boxer could ever face (guess you'ld have to ask RJJ). Gotta admit sound quality was so bad I couldn't make out what the hell Tyrell was answering to, but if he put Gennady off his feet I'm sure it woulda been a learning experience. As for boasting, nah, course the guy's gotta story to tell cos he's sparred with an up an coming star, but it didn't come over as BS. I'm a real big GGG fan, but I just can't get how anyone would make a deal outta him gettin put down in sparring:- some of these fans get real weird ideas sometimes. It's not even like GGGs one of these guys who acts like he's superman.
Abel Sanchez once trained Kovalev as well! WOW!!! Kovalev and Golovkin in the same stable. I would be curious to learn why Kovalev left? Every trainer has his top guy and perhaps Kovalev thought he was always going to play second with Golovkin. How strange is that for Sanchez? one day he is retired from training and working as a building contractor then Golovkin and Kovalev fall in his lap. Only if he could have some how hung on to both of them.
 He answered a direct question... big deal. He answered it quickly and then went on to praise GGG.
Wondering a little about that myself. Kovs last fight with Sanchez was the Simakov one though, and obviously Kovalev had his own bit of soul searching to do. Curiously early interviews with JDJ seem to suggest that Kovalev was looking to work on his offense and power - as if he didn't have enough! - but maybe he felt Sanchez didn't gel with his natural style. Alternatively, and I almost feel sacrilegious saying this, perhaps Kovalev has set himself the task of getting a belt to put on Romans grave or summit and is just trying to find the most direct route.
Jesus Christ! I didn't mean anything by it. I don't dislike the guy or anything. It was just a passing comment. I just thought it was a bit poor form seeing as he's much bigger than Golovkin that's all.
