3G v Lemieux almost a sell out...

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Red Revolution, Aug 20, 2015.

  1. These fighters have already sold more than 15,000 tickets. Only the cheap seats are left in New York's famed arena. Golovkin and Lemieux will also make their debuts as HBO pay-per-view headliners! Anybody want to speculate on the numbers?! Not bad for two 'foreign bums' eh ;)

  2. The Schutzstaffel will be in full force to see this guy beat a belt holder and make it like he destroyed the hardest guy at 160.

I kid though...GGG fights are hype live. It's the expectation of seeing someone get layed flat or TKO'd. I wonder does New York fight fans have the same energy like these drunk fans out here do?

Great fight, and good for boxing the locals are picking up on it as well.

It's clear who's going to win, but we also know it's going to be a war until the inevitable KO ending wich is great for boxing's popularity, wich clearly needs a boost after the extremely dissapointing "mega fight".
And you never know, maybe Lemmy hits the Gloveking with something he can't recover from, the power is most certainly there.

Don't forget the undercard. For some fans, the opportunity to see Chocolatito is a must see. I'm one of those. He also carries the Latino fan base. Villoria carries the Filipino fan base which supports its fighters well. Not to mention that both these fighters can punch and are known to go for the knockout.

This is the best 160 fight in the last 7 years and undercards are premium class as well. Maybe a best boxing event in 2015. Who wouldn´t like to buy a ticket?!

After boring performances of US national heroes like Floyd or Ward does the US need a fight like this! Don't forget what the USA is: A country formed by immigrants. This country can't forget it's roots and needs to accept that only fighters outside of the US can show what real boxing is.

Although outgunned and outskilled in every department-The Canadian kid always will have a punchers chance if he lands a haymaker.Full marks to Lemieux for taking the fight-but a brutal beatdown is in the cards for him.He is a fan friendly fighter and the fans will get their moneys worth.:good

I was at the Golovkin - Macklin fight and pretty much spent the whole time hoping Macklin would survive another round so that I could continue watching GGG do his work. It sucks that his fights don't go very long. GGG will stop Lemmy prior to the 6th and this is one of the reasons I am staying home to watch the fight. I wish he would have lined up Lemeiux, N'Dam and Eubank Jr. all in the same night. Then I'd buy a ticket. :rofl

The card as a whole is pretty good though.

I thought that too, but Gonzales is on the card. So, that's two great fighters you get to see.
