That was about as one sided as most sparring gets.

Team Golovkin asked to delete it, and asked not to distribute it on the web. Well, it's just reasonable, they don't want to ruin relations with anybody because of this.

 

It wasn't the one-sided blood bath Doug Fisher made it out to be, but Chavez was getting his head snapped back pretty regularly while Golovkin was blocking most of Jr's shots. Andy Lee looked pretty good against Jr for almost as many rounds aswell, granted he wasn't standing toe to toe like Gennady did there.

Being over two years ago, I think it's fair to say both have improved and Jr's a lot bigger now. At 168 this will be a great fight to watch. Chavez can take a lot of punishment while wearing Golovkin down with his smothering. Still think GGG wins with a late grinding stoppage, likely ending Jr's career.

did you even see the video? To be fair, it looked like they were just putting some work in, not really trying to outfight each other.

 

Pity, though I'm grateful to have seen it. Really surprised to see it made it out at all though. Even if Freddy gave consent, can be a very disrespectful thing to do.

 

GGG looked like he was holding back when he had jr on the ropes.

 

Not bad for a 24 year old kid w/no AM experience against an accomplished fighter like GGG.

Jr was lucky that was just sparring and GGG was holding back.

 

Jr held his offense back too but his defese is too leaky.
