A guy who KO's Zuniga, Mckart, Zertuche, Miranda and Taylor is only a hype job if your a hater.

Oscar moved up two weight classes and got "KO'd" by Hopkins Kelly whent up two divisions and went the distance so he will be back

kelly pavliks management team should have stood up to hbo and said our man is a middleweight and middleweight is where we are going to fight.

could you imagine the petronelli borthers allowing tv dictate that marvin hagler must fight michael spinks at light heavy as we do not like any middleweights.

bad matchmaking and career move by team pavlik

Was James Toney exposed when he was completely shut down by a prime Roy Jones Jr.? He couldn't win a round in that fight to save his soul. He was completely outspeeded, outmaneuvered and generally outclassed by Jones. Gee, maybe Toney should have quit right there and not gone on to be the all-time great he has become. Kelly got in the ring with a great fighter with old-school skills and may well learn from this experience to become a better overall fighter. He is still very young and has achieved a lot already. I look forward to many dominant performances at middleweight and if that happens nobody will give a damn about this particular fight two or three years down the road.

Thank God someone pointed this out! Note Hopkins was ONLY 40 when he did this. Did Oscar turn to **** afterward? In all honesty, there's a strong argument did better. He sure deserved that win over Mayweather, though I called an SD weeks before just because I know Mayweather would count on a DLH fade in the stretch to squeak it out. He KO'ed Mayorga faster than Trinidad or Mosley could. He had a lop-sided win over the always durable Steve Forbes, and he's the betting favorite against Pacquiao at 36. SO, is Pavlik done? NO!!!!:good

You are part of the "money-focused side of boxing" - the dark side. All you care about is money and the 0 next to the name of a fighter. KP stood up and fought a great boxer and got beaten badly. Props to him for taking a fight he didn't need to take. KP wanted to try to proce himself and he couldn't, this time. If he was PB-f--kin-F he wouldn't have taken the risk and would have fought a tomato can propped up as a wrecking machine.

These guys are warriors, not f--king accountants, so why don't you wake up!

    How is Pavlik's career over?

He got whooped by Hopkins at 170. He'll fight at 160 (a very weak division) and beat everyone who rules there. His only competition is Arthur Abraham who doesn't exactly have the Hopkins tools to beat Pav (although Arthur has the power to make it aquick night).

As long as Pavlik doesn't try to foray into the higher weights again, he'll be fine.

    1. Do serious weights to look strong but not get too heavy
    2. Pretend you are really tough and talk lots of ****
    3. Start a scuffle at the weigh in
    4. Look menacing in the ring
    5. Go down from the first big shot landed.
    6. Pocket $3M

You are obviously an idiot. All goo/great fighters eventually lose. It is how they rebound that determines their level of greatness.

One loss to an ATG certainly does not ruin a 26 y/o fighter

    what an idiot

Oh Jesus, Mary and Masterbating ****in' Joseph-are you shitting me? He moves up in weight to get his ass handed to 'eem by a superbly seasoned n' skilled ATG and this is gonna wreck his career? Dude, how do you rationalize this?

    Pavlik can bounce back!

Im not going to talk about how he moved up in weight its been talked about enough.

But Pavlik did hint that he only wanted 3/4 fights max before he retired. If thats still the case then pocketing $3million to loose to Hopkins aint a bad career move at all. Especially as he can move back down to Middle and make some nice pay cheuqes winning and defending the Middleweight Title a couple more times if he wants.

On the other hand, this may have put a fire in his belly. And make him want to come back and fight for longer to show he is the dominant Middleweight in the world

However I wouldnt blame Kelly for Moving back to Middleweight and have 2 maybe 3 more fights like he suggested then getting out. He's get out of the game still a young man having made some good money set himself up nicely with his brains still in tact!

Bob Arum and Bruce Trampler look like ****ing IDIOTS. They just potentially crashed entirely a multi multi million dollar investment with no ceiling. This makes Soto/Guzman look like a fender bender.

Is very ironic & strange that when Trinidad was defeated by BHop many people was saying that Trinidad was onedimentional and even overrated, now i see a lot of people saying a thousands excuses for Pavlik who lost to a 7 years older version than Trinidad Fought and by the way that Tito was a natural 147 fighter,,,Amazing
