September 22: V. Klitschko v McCline This fight will reveal whether the big Ukrainian is back to where he left off, as the #1 HeavyWeighter. September 29: Valuev v Bergeron This fight will reveal whether the Giant was just a big interest or is he still a threat to any belt-holder October 6: Maskaev v Peter Too hard to guess. A lot is based on this fight. And the winner v V. Klitschko will be probably be the most exciting fight since Lennox me the older brother October 27: Byrd v Povetkin This fight will reveal whether the new Russian pugilist is anything of a good fighter, and whether a top boxer should fear him. This fight will also be a two-fights away from a major W. Klitschko meet up. What do you think?
1. All the Russians win, including Ibragimov 2. Golota beats McBride After that there are many possibilities.
1. how can the mccline fight reveal that vitaly is back to number one??? mccline is ****.......scared **** in fact. before we can tell if vitaly is anywhere near number one, he has to beat a contender. 2. bergeron is nothing. valuev should handle him with ease. tko 3 IMO. 3. too hard to guess??? look at maskaevs record! ko´d too many times before......even by bums. if maskaev chin can take his bombs it would be the upset of year. peter ko5 maskaev. 4. byrd vs povetkin is the most competative matchup!! povetkin looks like the real deal........but beating a 40 year old donald is not like beating a contender like byrd. i hope they are not rushing povetkin too much here. still, i go with povetkin by UD.
Agree.... Vitali is in a must win fight... Vitali will never ever fight Peter. The only way Vitali will get the WBC title fight, is if Maskaev wins. -And yes, that would be upset of the year... There after Vitali vs Maskaev is possible.... Vitali vs Peter ... NEVER...
He can viciously KO him in round 9, but then it'll be too late. cause he's done, already? Vitali TKO/KO McCline mid rounds. Valuev TKO Berg. late Maskaev UD Peter (Oh, YEAH, baby.........BIG O, TIME) Byrd Povetkin.........toss up. Great fight that can go either way, although I am slightly leaning towards Byrd to decision Povetkin in a fight where Byrd gets knocked down a couple times. Byrd is still slick and fast as hell. His being beaten by Wlad don't mean he still can outbox just about anyone else.
The only fight here worst watching will be this Sat...Peter v. Maskaev...a for the other's ..well they might as well mail in the results
I agree, I just have a strange feeling Mccline going to knockdown Vitali in the fight and possibly win. Im not sold on Vitalis' big return just yet, and if Peter would ever fight Vitali Im 90% sure Peter knocks him out. Peters style would be Vitalis' worst nightmare in my opinion, I guess will just have to wait and see how everything pans out.
I think Povetkin Byrd is going to be a wildly entertaining fight, with the skill each of these guys posesses. Both are fast and skilled, smallish heavies. Byrd, though, is hard to hit, and Povetkin has a defense that will be easy for Byrd to penetrate, and rack up points on Povetkin.
Vitali tko8 McCline-Vitali wears down McCline methodically. Maskaev UD12 Peter-Maskaev out hits and out boxes. Sam never lands his big looping punches on the sharper boxer. Valuev SD10 Bergeron-JF gives a good account of himself but comes up a little short. Byrd SD10 Povetkin-Too big of a step for the inexperienced Povetkin. Byrd confuses him and does enough to sneak out a win.
