    1. David Haye- Haye is the most explosive puncher that has come into the heavyweight division in years. He has the speed and the power other contenders didn't have that gives him a chance against Wlad. Wlad has tooprove he can defeat this type of fighter. A fighter who will go after him and force him him into uncomfortable territories. Wlad has to fight and defeat Haye as soon as possible. It's a major unification match.

    2. Alexander Povetkin- The best skilled technician out there out of the contenders. Unlike the others, Potvekin has the skills to win rounds against Wlad. He is undefeated, top rated, and in his prime. An ideal win for Wlad after defeating Haye, that would essentially clean out the division. It would seal Wlad's place among the very best of his era.

    After this,

For a tuneup it wouldn't be a bad idea to fight Nicolay Valuev. It would be nice for Wlad to defeat a contender who is much bigger than he. or perhaps take on a Admasek instead. This is just optional.

    Next Array of Contenders comes

    3, 4, 5,

kubrat pulev, Denis Boystov, and Robert Helenius

Wlad needs to wait a couple more years for these men to be ready, but I feel like these are the 3 outstanding prospects as of now, and all three have the potential to provide him with interesting, competitive matchups in the future. We all know there are no potentially great heavyweights out there, so we have to make best with what's available. Hopefully by then, that big boring stiff Vitali will be retired. I would love to see Wlad fight Vitali and give him a one sided boxing lesson before that happens.

So Let's say Haye, Povetkin, then two out of the 3 I listed above. Combine this with his other wins, and you have a very solid resume filled with top quantity and decent quality.

    Go Wlad!

If he beats all these fighters, then I think he can be considered ATG material, maybe a top 20 ATG heavyweight?

Wladimir sits at # 22 but is moving up with each win. When he beats haye, he moves into my top 20.

suzie, didn't you used to have lennox at about number 12 and be quite a harsh critic of his? what's shot him up your list?

if wlad knocks haye out impressively while haye goes right at wlad, will you give wlad a chance vs. atg hw punchers?
i know haye is nowhere near liston,foreman,tyson,marciano...
but he is ripped 220 lbs, hard hitting explosive puncher and if he goes aggresively right at wlad, and wlad controls him and knocks him out,it would be quite impressive, don't you think?

I still am a critic. Had it not been for those two embarrasing one punch knockout losses to B level fighters, I would be inclined to rank him top 2.

    Honestly Lewis rates high because

    1. In one of the better eras of all time, he proved himself the top dog. He went 3-0 against the other hall of fame heavyweights of his era. The 4th best heavyweight of the era, a potential hall of famer himself, threw his belt in the trash rather than fight him.

    2. He beat every man he ever faced

    3. He had incredible Longevity. He beat more rated contenders than any HW champion in history besides Ali and Louis. He also beat more punchers than perhaps anyone in history.

    4. Past his Prime, he defeated one of the best heavyweights of the 2000's decade(even if i do think he is overrated

    5. H2H he is a monster. Despite having a shaky chin, he was the most talented superheavyweight of all time. top notch skills, he knew how to use his size: could control nearly anybody from the outside. Very good Jab, solid defensively, and he is a two fisted assassin. He could knock you out with either hand, and had an assortment of punches in his repertoire. Very intelligent in the ring, he was immensely strong in the clinches, and had a fighting heart.

Yes it would be very impressive. Haye has punching power, speed, and accuracy this division has not seen in years. He has the style to trouble wlad. Which is why it is a big test for Wladimir.

I think Adamek, after Haye and Povetkin, is the best contender a win over him would be impressive for any Heavyweight IMO.

I would say him and Haye are on about the same level at the moment.
