It is not inconceivable that Wlad may lose to either Haye or Povetkin, this has happened before to him. I wouldn't bet on him losing, but lets just say he did lose to either Haye or Povetkin and then the same happens when he faces the up and comers and loses to one of them.
Where will he be rated then, well out of the top twenty surely.

    1. Show me a source where Wlad said that? I have heard Wlad say Vitali is stronger than him, but that he is a much better technician than Vitali.

    1. I can play this game. Wlad dominated Byrd, who beat Vitali. I also doubt Wlad loses to a 37 year old out of shape lennox lewis.

    2. Wlad defeated young prime versions of Ruslan Chagaev, Eddie Chambers, Chris Bryd. These 3 are younger, better fighters than anyone Vitali ever beat.

Sure, but no way is vitali top 10. Wlad is the better fighter. everybody knows that.

Wlad has said his brother still has an advantage on him when they spar. The way he put it, the master still has an edge on his younger pupil. As a Klitschko fan, I'm well versed on their fights and quotes.

I think the injury is the lone reason why Byrd won, and even then he was well behind on the cards.

Vitali would have beaten Chambers or Chagaev the same way. The younger top ten guys Vitali has fought in Arreola and Johnson were huge mis-matches.

Essentially both K-bros tower literally and figuratively among the competition in the top ten. I do not think Haye or Povetkin would beat either, but I do think both have a better chance of beating Wlad since his chin can be had.

It would be interesting to Klitschko fans this question. My guess is most feel Vitali is the better fighter, while Wlad has beaten better competition. That is how I see it. I also think Vitali has closed the gap on the competition level between the two as he has beaten four ring rated top ten guys in a row and maybe lost 2 rounds in the process. Show me another 38 year old that has done this....if you can I'll be impressed by a very short list.

Vitali has NEVER been the master of Wlad. Wlad is better in every department than vitali . It's not even close. Wlad hits harder, is the better all around puncher, better accuracy, faster hands, much better jab, better technique, better boxing skills, better defense, and he is tougher(doesnt quit in fights, or pull out of fights due to injuries)

Don't compare Arreola and Johnson to Chagaev and Chambers. Arreola and Johnson both did not record one win over a top 10 opponent to get the title shot against Vitali. Chagaev on the other hand was reigning Undefeated WBA heavyweight champion, and Chambers beat Sam Peter, Calvin Brock, Chris Bryd, and a undefeated Alexander Dimitrenko.

Wlad, Yes. I dont know about Vitali. He is old, slow, uncoordinated, and ready to be taken.

Disagree. Both have a better shot against Vitali because he is older, slower, less skilled, and does not pocess big one punch power.

if Kevin Johnson was a Ring top 10 fighter(show me your source??) thats a travesty. Who the hell has kevin johnson ever beaten to deserve top 10 status?

Who the hell has chris arreola ever beaten to deserve top 10 status? he recently lost to a cruiserweight

Gomez was a decent win, but he was 35 years old and overweight.

Peter was a good win, but peter was not the same fighter who fought Wlad 2 years before.

When all is said and done, I think a good case could be made to have Wlad in the top10Depending on criteria ofcourse

If he beats Haye, Povetkin, Admsak, Pulev, and Helenius...then its possible. Those 3 knockout losses to UNRATED pretenders will always hurt him though.

Wlad is better in ever department? I think not. Vitlai takes the better punch by a mile, counters better, and in-fights when better. He is also harder to hit based on a style he perfected, and has better punch anticipation.

I admit being a fan, and because of that I find myself drawn into debates with people who view Vitali with antipathy. When I present facts, they ignore them. Fact of course are not opinions. If I am to be judged on the later, then consider the sources.

The problem is, the facts you present are out of context and twisted to fit your agenda most of the time. I have no antipathy for Vitali. I have a high opinion of him but I can´t see him beeing ranked above Wlad or inside the Top25. He just lacks the opposition. Not his fault but it is how it is.

I knew it! Mendoza is not that big of a Wlad fan. He is simply such a huge Vitali nuthugger that he feels he is entitled to liking Wlad. He will never ever defende Wlad over Vitali first. Vitali ALWAYS comes first.

If Wlad continues winning for another couple of years I see him being a top 15 HW. Haye is a pretty big one, if he can get that fight and win convincingly it helps him a lot.

It's better that their fight fell through when it was initially going to, Haye hadn't proven himself to be a legit heavyweight where now he has. I'm not that impressed with Povetkin at all but it would be a decent victory.

Facts are facts. How you use them are up to you. Head to head I think Vitali is top 25, and would beat plenty of champions pre 1960.

Despite what SuzieQ thinks I am a fan of both Klitschko's dating back to their amateur days.
