    How about that?

Yap... the who needs 'em crew. They all thought that their fortune would ultimately be made by way of US TV, but why don't the Germans do the promotion? Could have it here in Europe. I'm sure the Americans would show the fights on tape delay too.

    Thoughts?

Shouldn't the ambitious Sauerland try to run with this?

I dont understand you.. Why would Americans give a **** Europeans fighting each other? They would make a good fights between each other dotn get me wrong. But for Dumb Americans they need to Fight American name to get recognition. Even then it wont be sure to get real exposure(like the catastrophe when Pirog destroying HBO-investment, the American hype job Daniel Jacobs).

Because HBO and Showtime would be bound to at least mention the tournament whenever an American MW fights on their shows/ when Martinez fights, when Jr. fights.

There just ain't that many American prospects with a high enough investment value for these boys to make a name for themselves against. So what is the alternative? Martinez won't fight any of them just like that...

Golovkin was mentioned multiple times on HBO already especially by Kellerman who seems to be quite a fan of him. I'm positive that his next fight will be on US TV now that he signed to K2 anyway

and Korobov out Proksa in imo

I just realised Boxing second most precious division history wise will be ruled by Europeans while there is more talent than in years.

They need to get this done soon!

These boys could be creating quite a legacy for themselves through some nice rematches/trilogies. Just because they're not American/British doesn't mean they don't have a future. But they only have one if they make one themselves.

I agree there should be a tournament although bigger than 4-man.

Bigger than 4-man means at least 6, and that hasn't worked so well... takes too long, fighters get injured, fighters drop out, etc. 4-man tournaments could be done and dusted by the end of the autumn and everyone gets at least 2 good quality fights, win or lose.

    Golovkin vs Proksa

    Pirog vs Gaele

    Winner vs winner

Overall winner vs Martinez (or, FML, Chavez Jr) - and we have a 4-belt unification minus Sturm who's a *****.

What I really mean to say is: if you're not American or British, if you don't have a huge promoter backing you, if you don't have a boxing scene behind you (e.g. Montreal for Bute/ Germany for Klitschkos), and if you're not signed by HBO/Showtime, you need to take risks to show them what you've got, especially if you're 30 and unknown.

Throw risk/reward out of the window and start fighting the best you can get, and do it often, whatever the money. It's the best way to ensure you're going to make some money eventually, imo.

    Just ask Froch and Bika...

The former left it a bit too late... should have accepted to fight Bute in the eliminator instead of Bika, and Bika should have been less proud and taken the short money to stay active.

They could perhaps just make it instant elimination.

Well, I'd love to see something like this but N'Kijam wouldn't sign a contract if it had Golovkin's name anywhere near it. Korobov has really left me cold so far - I haven't seen any progression since he turned pro. I haven't been impressed actually, since he left the amateurs. I'd have Proksa in there instead.

Maybe if there was enough interest in Europe, something like this could actually happen in Germany, especially if these guys continue to be ignored by US tv

    GGG vs. Proksa
    Pirog vs. ???

Winners fight each other; losers fight each other (at least 2 fights must be guaranteed)

Is there someone better than Korobov who fits the bill, assuming N'Jikam doesn't want it?
