Ok, a mere flash in the pan was perhaps a bit harsh on my part, he was a good fighter and exiting to watch

Big and average is someone like Jameel McCline or Henry Akinwande. Fighters who dominate a division for years are anything but average, there is more than just the top ten ATG's and average fighters. There are very, very good fighters who don't have the big stars on their resumes and therefore don't match the greatest fighters in resume comparison. If the Klits were all about size, McCline, Austin or Hoffmann would have been competitive with them.

Corrie Sanders was totally underestimated by Wlad, he would have a very hard time to beat the current version of Wlad. Vitali destroys any version of Sanders. Both brothers would be tough competition for Tyson, I am not picking a winner with any certainty here, but both would bring a combination of size and skills to the table that a prime Tson has never seen. Of course, neither brother has seen what Tyson has to offer either. However, there seems to be a tendency to overrate fighters who are as spectacular as Tyson and underestimate the methodical, less flashy fighters like the Klitschkos. The Klitschko brothers are like Tim Duncan in basketball, he never wins the slam dunk contest, but took his team to several championships.

yes, tyson lost to every great fighter he fought in or near his prime, lost to evander twice, lewis... Klit could bully him back and has the chin to take Tysons shots and give it him back, i dunno if Mike could cope with being pushed back, every fighter that has dealt with his bullying and not been intimidated has knocked him out!

What a ****ing dum ass thread , Prime Tyson Kills Wlad in a round , Vit does have a good beard so id say either TKO or KO to Iron Mike after 5-6 punishing brutal rounds for Vitali ( Even with his great chin Prime Tyson of the Mid-80's still stop's him )

Mike Tyson KOs any Klit by the 6th round if not earlier. Too fast, too good defensively plus too big of a puncher.

He lost to Larry Holmes and Michael Spinks??

I would consider them both great.

And don't go to the classical forum even questioning Micheal Spinks. They **** themselves there if you don't acknowledge him as the most unbeatable Lt heavy ever.

Prime Tyson decimates Wlad Klitschko within a couple rounds.

Howerever, I think Tyson only UD's Vitali. Big bro Klit can take a great shot and with his extreme height advantage it could prove difficult for Tyson to land punches in bunches and same goes for Vitali who would have problems landing flush on a much shorter Tyson with good head movement. Interesting fight, but I'm going with Iron Mike by UD.

No dude, wrong as usual. You've read my prior posts why bother? I've read yours and we've already determined you don't know **** about athletes and athletic quality.

Big and average is someone like a Corrie Sanders, a Jameel McCline, Wladimir & Vitali Klitschko, Ross Puritty, and Ray Austin. They are ALL average. Are you such a crappy non-athlete that you can't recognize the difference? This planet is producing many quick footed, quick handed, highly conditioned, fast & powerful, elite large-sized athletes (and the number will only grow in the future). The large-sized scrubs are what is in professional boxing.

There has been a (many) multi-generational trend away from pro boxing. The world didn't suddenly lose all its great talent. In fact, there are more big men than ever - beneficiaries of higher standards of living, better nutrition, sport science, medical advancement, and training methodologies. This is why a better conditioned scrub outperforms a fast ass who doesn't bother to push himself to his own modest limits and capabilities.

The Klits are entirely about size. Fortunately, they are also about pushing themselves to their maximum potential and have the financial means to continue to make the best use of what is available today to remain ahead of the less fortunate and less motivated scrubs they compete against. That doesn't make them extraordinary. There are hundreds/thousands of guys that represent a better combination of natural athletic talent, conditioning, and physical quality. But they aren't pursuing boxing. The Klits are.

Corrie Sander is average. Yet, in watching that pudgy soft fat ass throw like a comparative Sugar Ray Leonard while in the ring with the clumsy giraffe Bros it is clear that it wouldn't take much to see him KO both brothers back to back on the same night if he would lay off the donuts and beer.

The Klitschkos are nothing like Tim Duncan. That is ****ing ridiculous. A better comparative would be 7' 4" Mark Eaton playing in the NBA pre-1950s. Tim Duncan!!! LMAO!!!!!!! GET REAL.

There is no mystery about the state of the heavyweight division. There is no confusion in noting that we have had three of the largest heavyweights holding the titles (Valuev, Klit, Klit) and a bunch of blown up cruisers (Byrd, Toney, Haye, Adamek) able to move up and challenge in THIS era of mega-sized athletes. There is no mistaking that a bunch of average heavyweights have been able to get fights and compete as championship opponents long, long after their primes were passed (Rahman, Ruiz, Maskaev, McCall, Donald, Mercer, etc., etc.). There is no missing that a bunch of OLD OLD greats were able to keep fighting long after their primes had completely gone (Tyson, Holyfield, etc.). Only an idiot would not understand why so many unmotivated, out of shape, past prime, old fighters would even still be in the game. It is undoubtedly because there has been NO INFLUX OF YOUNG PRIME TALENT pursuing boxing and pushing them out. You think that there are suddenly no GREAT YOUNG ATHLETES? The Klitshckos are some "next step" in athletic evolution? LMAO. That's absurd.

So many idiotic (East) Europeans (in particular) seem to think that the quality of comp hasn't changed - it is merely that the rest of the world has made some great strides in the quality of athletes they are producing. If anyone can watch the fear and panic in the best examples available (the Klits) as they fight off the back foot, hold, panic and flail as Corrie Sanders comes firing at them and not see the mediocrity - then they don't know **** about athletic quality and need to get out more.

The Klits are the current beneficiaries of being the best conditioned, motivated, large sized athletes with average abilities in a sea of dross. The big three sports in the US has stripped away the entirety of this country's athletic talent. It provides an education, a subsidy if you will, and an opportunity that has been elevated in the minds of the country's youth to such an extreme extent due to the size of the business/commercialization of college sports which has occurred. No one has any clue who the professional boxers are or any idea how to become one. But everyone knows about football and basketball from high school to college and then the pros.

The Klits are in the same category as Corrie Sanders and the other average but large-sized athletes mentioned in the opening paragraph. They are better conditioned than most, and more committed than many to their endeavor. They seem like decent enough men - nothing to do with anything personal about them - that is irrelevant. They are hardly extraordinary or exceptional athletes. They will be quickly forgotten in the decades to come as at some point in the normal cycle of things we will see some of the athletes standing between 6'5" and 7'0" that move like baseball shortstops, bring the unparalleled speed of an Usain Bolt, the pound for pound power of a Tyson, the natural fluidity of movement and application of the sports' historic best, the conditioning of the elites, and the hunger and aggression of the truly motivated back to heavyweight boxing. It is fine to like the Klitschkos. But, only a ****ing crap (non) athlete could be overly impressed when watching their modest capabilities with so many obvious limitations.

There are many arguments and comparatives attempted between the generations in sports. It is never easy to obtain a theoretical "even playing field" for such discussions. Boxing is one sport where there is little doubt that even in today's "steroid-era" that the best from the last SEVERAL decades would still be very much in today's mix. One reason is because there aren't enough current fighters that can be said to have a superior skill set. There are a few that are larger, taller, and heavier though. It would be a much more difficult argument if there was a combination of highly skilled athletes with extreme size in professional boxing at this moment. They aren't there. PERIOD. This era has scrubs and "C" level athletes as the norm. It is what it is. Nothing to see here .. just move along. The future will be better and this athletic lull will be a brief historical anomaly when boxing was out of favor - similar to athletics in the war years or when the able bodied men were out killing each other rather than competing on the field of competition. Heavyweight boxing is the equivalent of watching paraplegics and the physically crippled compete against the obese and untalented - low quality entertainment.

Your drivel is not worth reading this alone The Klits are entirely about size Shows your pathetic bias let alone half the other shitt you wrote.. whats wrong Haye running with his tail between his legs Made you insecure.. If size is all that made them then every boxer in history over 6'5 must be monsters right :rofl and by the way remember the thread we had a long time ago baseball players are something around 6'1 football average was not much taller...hell the nba was what 6'8 average? The NBA NFL and MLB were around in the so called golden age of heavyweights. and with the increase of population size your argument doesnt hold much water

    Population in 1970 203,211,926....population in 2010 309,162,581.
with close to a 106,000,000 more people in the united states you cant tell me there all playing NBA, NFL or the MLB...

Arnt you the same person who claimed Boozer is a great power forward... lmao
